With thanks to @DebbieTheCat for the inspiration, how about a list of the words you really can't be doing with?

Top of my list would be "problematic" - the whole beige, head-tilted, be kind-ness of it just annoys me!

Amateur, but only when some tool pronounces it 'amma-chur'. Otherwise it's a grand word.

Menopause is awful. Perimenopause makes me think of Perry Como going through the change.

"Yous" or worse "use" as in a description of other people.

These three words are everywhere these days. They'll be clichés by January.

I hate pud for pudding and chocs or choccy for chocolate. Especially on Mumsnet, when “posh chocs” are suggested for any occasion! I don’t know why, I just hate it.

Words I was taught were c--n - toilet, serviette, settee, tea for dinner, dinner for lunch - I think it's bollocks but it still grates (I blame my mum)
