I was interviewing most of yesterday, had loads to do and was generally feeling a bit meh and tired. My boss went out and came back with a curly wurly to pep me up. I bloody love a curly wurly. What chocolate bar really hits the spot for you?

Galaxy salted caramel- the chocolate of the gods.

Cadbury's Boost!

Knew it would come up before I said Boost!!!

noobiedoobie · 10/12/2024 19:34

Galaxy version of the flake. Ripple that's the one. I crumble it on porridge.

CordeliaNaismithVorkosigan · 10/12/2024 19:40

Green and Black’s butterscotch or white chocolate. But it’s wine gums that I keep in my bag for emergencies!

Coconuthotchocolate · 10/12/2024 19:42

Star bar - bloody love them!

livingafulllife · 10/12/2024 19:53

I was resuscitated by a twix once thank god as i was choking on a mars.😂

Bounty for sure

Lamenting the demise of the dark chocolate bounty 😞😟

Goneback2school · 10/12/2024 20:10

The Tony's bar in the orange wrapper- sea salt and caramel. If one can be clinically addicted to chocolate, that's how I am with it. That a a cherry coke zero can solve anything.

Klingfilm · 10/12/2024 20:24

The Tony's one with crushed KitKaty biscuits inside. Amazing when dunked in coffee and it goes a bit melty.

A crunchy.

But I actually want a boss like yours more , what a simple but really kind thing to do .

He's a bit bonkers and scatty but a thoroughly decent and kind man ☺️

If it has to be a chocolate bar, boost bar. Easy!
But if any sort of chocolate, it’s between that and revels.

All chocolate is welcome here 🤣❤️

Star bar or Boost

tfu · 10/12/2024 21:22

The tragically discontinued red bounty

reallyalurker · 10/12/2024 21:37

Seconding Wispa. It's the dense yet soft texture.

I find the Wispa texture unpleasantly ‘oily’. And Double-Deckers too rough and ‘scratchy’. Clearly I am the chocolate equivalent of the Princess and the Pea.

Minor crisis - may be averted by a Happy Hippo (milk and hazelnut flavour).

Major crisis - requires a white chocolate Kinder Bueno.

Crisis that looks like it may turn into a full day of ongoing stress - share bag of Milky Way Magic Stars.

All need to come from the fridge or ideally the freezer.

DazedAndConfused321 · 10/12/2024 19:22

Grzeski- a polish chocolate bar that is so good and so cheap. Also Polish choc brand E.Wedel. Their plain milk bar tastes almost like old Cadbury's

Ooh E.wedel coconut is lovely. And looking out for their coffee bar. It tastes like chocolate should...

I’m very intrigued by the idea of a frozen Bueno 😮

DisappointingAvocado · 10/12/2024 22:10

I was running a bit low on energy after a couple of hours of pushing in my first labour. Ate a Mars bar. Pushed DS out 10 mins after.

MrsSethGecko · 10/12/2024 22:10

All chocolate bars are improved hugely by being frozen.

I basically dissect a lot of my food (much to my H's disgust) and always save the best bit until last. So if it's frozen I can nibble the top wafer bit off first, then the bottom wafer bit with the chocolate crispy bits, then finally the hazelnut cream filling which is the best bit (and has stayed intact as is frozen).

Well you did ask 🤣

Oh my god, I do this with everything too! Everything must be eaten layer by layer.

This freezing business is a revelation. I’m actually going to buy lots of different chocolate bars tomorrow to freeze them and see how much easier they are to dissect! I wonder what frozen Maltesers are like… 🤔😄🤣

When I was in a stressful job I would look forward to a Jaffa bar from the canteen to keep me going ( not strictly a chocolate bar I know ). Other stress relieving bars or confectionary : star bar for its unctuous chewy peanut deliciousness, cool mint matchmakers because there is so much satisfaction in snapping them and they taste cold and a raspberry coconut ruffle bar which has been in the fridge, because of the flavour and texture. Slightly more expensive treat is the Green and Blacks milk chocolate ( blue packaging ) because it is so heavenly

Compash · 10/12/2024 23:00

I was hill-walking with a much fitter friend, and we got to the top of one peak and I was spent, just empty of all energy like a flat battery, could not move... She gave me a Mars bar, and I swear I could feel the chocolate and sugary goodness surging into my bloodstream and replenishing me...

Hence I am here today and was not eaten by eagles.
