I’ve just started cobbling together a leek and chicken pie using an assortment of freezer odds and ends.

Sausage ragu

We're going to a bring and share Christmas party. We're taking pigs in blankets. A couple of friends are African and have said they'll do traditional so looking forward to seeing what they bring! Looking forward to a nice graze.

We are north Scotland and largely missed the worst of the weather but it has rained solidly all day. We have had a cosy day watching Christmas movies!

Scampi chips and peas for the kids, cheese fondue for us!

Salad - was fancying healthy food. It's warm in my house so don't really want stew

Chicken ham and leek pie topped with cheesy mash and served with veg. Husband is night shift so want something I can shove in the oven and have ready when he gets up. Children may or may not eat it who knows!

That's Mondays dinner sorted, though I do cheat making risotto and put in the stock at once, it makes no difference.

Goulash, made on Thursday and now just needs heating in the oven. Mash and broccoli to go with. I'm just trying to decide if I should have a g & t beforehand. Probably will😊

Have to say that the shop was empty, probably due to the weather. I’ve got to drive later, DC1 needs a lift. No other options available. Not looking forward to it.

Homemade Lentil shepherd pie ( we aren't veggie but love it)

I just finished a yummy ready meal from a posh local shop. It was creamy mash with peppered chicken and carrots. Not very big but we're off to a birthday party in a bit and there'll be nibbles and cake there.

Tacos tonight with all the sides like refried beans, Mexican rice etc
Followed by a slab of school cake, we rarely have a pudding but it I felt like baking today!
