He's trying to get Britain to pick a side - are we on the side of deregulation when it comes to AI, like the US. Or, are we on the side of regulation and ethical AI, like Europe. I think Elon Musk, the billionaire, has full rights to say what he wants, within the law. The same law that applies to any of us, much less influential ones.
But now that he is in government, he should keep it cordial and respectful.
Same for Labour, as it seems to have gone both sides. Those representing governments are held to higher standards, indeed. It is not longer a bit of chit chat, banter, exchange of thoughts. Now their conversations will translate into facts and legislation, so let's hope they behave in a professional way.
