Littlemissgobby · 21/11/2024 17:18

Why the fuck is he attacking our gov decisions like inheritance tax on farms? He seems obsessed with Britain ever since the riots . Also can you imagine if sir Allan sugar was posting stuff about American gov policy like Elon musk is.
All because he’s been summoned about disinformation on X That led to the riots.
is he just a right wing twat? He’s gonna have to pipe down if America wants us to be on their side if I was labour I would be getting so annoyed .
side note I sit left centre but Peter Mandelson licking boots of Elon and trump is a piss take.
maybe we are going to have to move closer to Europe as America is unhinged by the sounds of Elon .

Of the fact that he seems to spend an inordinate amount of time posting twaddle on twitter?

Loads of British politicians and journalists were calling him two tier Keir. This isn't misinformation, it's a valid opinion.

No it’s not the right wing did yes those justifying the riots

So the British are allowed to chat shit about Trump, Biden, Putin etc but no one is allowed to do the same about our government? I couldn't care less what others think which is probably what Americans think of the British spouting their views on the American election and policies.

There is a big difference between everybody like myself having an opinion and somebody that actually has a massive platform like he does plus now in his government role with Donald Trump he’s no longer a citizen so he’s talking shit about our government from an American government point of view

Agreed. I don't think we're flavour of the month with Americans, they take free speech very seriously. They really couldn't understand how you could end up in prison for remarks on social media, when they made room in the prisons by turfing out paedophilic people, rapist's and more dangerous criminals.

So basically you’re just parroting what Elon Musk said which is totally stupid and ridiculous. I think you find under the Conservatives which most of you forgetting about they were already getting rid of people in prison because guess what? They didn’t build enough prisons we are not turfing out fucking paedophiles in the name of putting people who have said stuff about the riots that was not true. They would not have gone to jail. The ones that have gone to jail did more than putting a few words on Twitter.

MrsPeregrine · 21/11/2024 21:17

I like Elon. He can see that we are losing our freedom of speech and is speaking out about it.

Littlemissgobby · 21/11/2024 21:17

mellongoose · 21/11/2024 19:14

It's not Britain he doesn't like. It's Labour and everything they stand for.

That’s because he’s very to the right but as I keep saying he’s now in trump gov he has a big platform and he’s trying to influence voters like he did in the American election. Then the right wing trump lovers and reform lot over here tell us all they hate the deep state he is the walking face of the deep state billionaire

OP posts:
RedToothBrush · 21/11/2024 21:18

One question:
Who is the audience he is aiming this at?

(Answer: an American audience. It's for internal consumption only. He's not remotely bothered about the UK, it's all about a message to the US market)

Littlemissgobby · 21/11/2024 21:19

sparklyfox · 21/11/2024 19:18

He's right. Our government is a disgrace and turning the country into a veritable dystopia. Starmer is turning the UK into an international embarrassment.

America is even worse though.

So the last 14 years that tories have absolutely decimated this country has passed you by then and I find it interesting as well that so many right wing people say that labour are targeting people that don’t vote for them that’s almost like a confession from the conservatives that that’s what they did for the last 14 years propping up pensioners because they knew they would vote for them and popping people up Without helping people that are in need

People are free to critique foreign governments... You say "my gov" as if we're expected to be absolutely loyal to our current administration and not tolerate criticism of our head of state. We live in a democracy. America is also a democracy. Have you heard how Brits talk about Trump? Should they not be allowed to criticise American leaders either?

I don’t think you understand the difference between an individual person with absolutely no influence or money or power having a comment about a leader of a country and then somebody like Elon Musk a fucking billionaire who now is part of Donald Trump‘s government. That is a big difference plus he also controls Twitter which by the way loads of people are leaving at the rate of knots but that’s not a problem. The problem is the influence he has the way he manufactures people have voted in The last recent election in America. He definitely put more Donald Trump stuff on Twitter than Kamala Harris and if you believe in free speech, then you should believe in equality but I tend to find you guys only believe in free speech when it’s right wing viewpoint.

He's trying to get Britain to pick a side - are we on the side of deregulation when it comes to AI, like the US. Or, are we on the side of regulation and ethical AI, like Europe. Knowing where we sit, they can then strategise accordingly, take investment decisions, build relationships accordingly. It's all strategy, and they want the upper hand.

MrsPeregrine · 21/11/2024 21:17

Do you actually understand that he’s actually blocked loads of people on his own Twitter? He doesn’t want freedom of speech. He just wants freedom of speech that agrees with him. That’s what every fascist fuck is like oh they will tell you they like freedom of speech but it turns out that when people protest for instance in this country about climate change the media makes out that they are just a rebel Crowd of just trying to stop people driving but yet when farmers block the fucking roads with tractors apparently that’s okay that’s what freedom of speech is with the right wing only if you agree with them

Well, he’s being a fucking cunt and actually, I would quite love to meet that guy his his own kids don’t even want anything to do with him. That should fucking say something.
I am sure I have read that some of his kids have disowned him as a parent

I think Elon Musk, the billionaire, has full rights to say what he wants, within the law. The same law that applies to any of us, much less influential ones.
But now that he is in government, he should keep it cordial and respectful.
Same for Labour, as it seems to have gone both sides. Those representing governments are held to higher standards, indeed. It is not longer a bit of chit chat, banter, exchange of thoughts. Now their conversations will translate into facts and legislation, so let's hope they behave in a professional way.

Daysnconfuddled · 21/11/2024 21:46

I think Elon is brilliant.

That 2TierStarmer is out to destroy the country should be clear for all (apart from those who solely read the Guardian) to see from his and Thieves actions since being in government.

Unlike much of America, which sees him as some sort of genius, Britain knows he's an idiot and he knows we do.

EM is a lot of things, but he's not an idiot.

MarvellousMable · 21/11/2024 21:51

He used to be a liberal and then came to the conclusion it was all about oppression of the middle classes, making them work or taking their assets to pay excessive taxes to fund the people who don’t want to work.

Society goes down the toilet when working age people choose not to work whilst still enjoying all the services that the taxpayers pay for.

i know plenty of civil service people pensioned off on injury pensions since they were in their early 40s. Could have gotten an office job but chose to play the overly generous system.

Yes sure the billionaire who’s about lessening regulations so he doesn’t have to abide to health and safety and doesn’t want to pay taxes to help society sure yes like he gives a dam about middle class or working people.
what about those working that need health care you ok with that then. Selfish right wing pricks

Think it was words encouraging people to set fire to immigrant hotels during a riot where people were attempting to do exactly that, wasn’t it?
