What is elon musk problem with Britain?

Littlemissgobby · 21/11/2024 17:18

Why the fuck is he attacking our gov decisions like inheritance tax on farms? He seems obsessed with Britain ever since the riots . Also can you imagine if sir Allan sugar was posting stuff about American gov policy like Elon musk is.
All because he’s been summoned about disinformation on X That led to the riots.
is he just a right wing twat? He’s gonna have to pipe down if America wants us to be on their side if I was labour I would be getting so annoyed .
side note I sit left centre but Peter Mandelson licking boots of Elon and trump is a piss take.
maybe we are going to have to move closer to Europe as America is unhinged by the sounds of Elon .

So I’m wrong. I’m fine with that and I don’t need you to agree with me.

I don’t think I’m wrong though. It feels fairly obvious that there’s a change coming.

On the 19th for the first time in British history our farmers organised together in their thousands. That’s huge. I don’t think most people realise how big that is.

I think you are a lot younger than me. Because it's not the first time in history, the farmers were protesting before. Now we've seen protests on the street under Thatcher. IM really sorry you are so young. Or don't understand politics, it's not new.

But you must have an idea of what terrible things you think he is hiding?

No I don’t, but sometimes in life when you spend time with people who are covering who they are and are largely thought of as decent people, you learn to pick up on cues, and I’m rarely wrong.

I have no idea, but I still cannot bring myself to trust him. I voted Labour all my life up until now. I wish I liked and trusted him.

In 5 years time let’s hope he’s turned things around and proved my instincts wrong, and I will happily hold my hands up and accept that my current instincts are off.

Look at what bill gates has done he's really given lots away i woukd want to see what charity he's given money to. He's a right wing prick who doesn't believe in regulations which you know protect people lfrom poison, etcetra from factories in the environment.

Is £7billion not lots as well or am I missing the number that classes as ‘lots’ Confused

Is that because you are on the left? And you don't see him left enough because that really annoyed me with so many people that said they would vote, labour, look at what's happened in America because of Democrats doing that it allowed Republican party to get in. It's alright, having principles. But then really, you need to realise that your principles either that or the other side, which is even darker.
Or are you one of them that says this stuff and really voted reform? Because I can't see how that can even b the same as voting labour.
No I don't think he's perfect at all.But I tell you what I don't want the other side

Quell suroruse it's not charity it's self serving omfg are you kidding me.
He can't even fucking give to charity properly
Elon Musk's charity is The Musk Foundation, which he owns and funds. The foundation's goals include: renewable energy research and advocacy, human space exploration research and advocacy, pediatric research, science and engineering education, and development of safe artificial intelligence.
Musk has donated billions of dollars to the foundation, including: $1.95 billion worth of Tesla shares in 2022, $5.74 billion in 2021, and Nearly $6 billion in 2022.
However, some say that the foundation's giving has been self-serving and lacks focus:
Much of the donated money has gone to employees, businesses, and projects that Musk is personally associated with.
The foundation donated less than half of what it needed to qualify for a tax break in 2022.
A New York Times analysis found that about half of the donations in 2021 and 2022 had some link to Musk, one of his employees, or one of his businesses.

I haven't advocated killing any one! I am not a fan of violent revolutions, they just entail more suffering for the poor.

I didn't mean you, you stated that it was to get back on the topic, when we never left the topic. It seems it is fine on here to want to kill people that you don't like but if Elon Musk blocks people he doesn't want to see any more that is bad.

Even though he just removed the block facility so the OP even gets that wrong.

Did he block people? Yes, has he removed that function? Yes, as he removed it from himself who knows so I'm not wrong and I have not advocated killing anybody right now. I can see how you might think that this is 'huge' if you spend time on twitter because there are loads of accounts on there right now saying 'this is huge' 'this is unprecedented' and concluding with 'Starmer is finished'.

But it's not huge or unprecedented. And those posters have an agenda which is to try to 'finish' Starmer. They're stating what they want to happen as fact.

There is a fair amount of handwaving if it's other people impacted, so far pensioners, businesses, farmers and students, but the economic indicators don't look good for Labour and progresses to more difficult decisions.

Public sector relies on spending not that heavy borrowing after all.

Keep what's up fighting for justice for people? Yeah, I think it's important that we all have equality, not just some people at the top. What's wrong with that? And what you're talking about a prime example of the left, what people who care you don't know nothing about me. I mean, I could say, well, maybe she lives in France, probably a second home. Probably is a bit selfish and doesn't want to share the wealth around the country, but then I would probably be wrong, wouldn't I
May I also reminded you were talking about reporting this post

I tell you what go watch The Documentary. I watched about hong kong.Them people are working really hard, really tough conditions. They deserve better than bloody coffin homes. People like you will try to say that people that are rich have worked harder. That is a b rhetoric, because there are people out there. Working 3 jobs who will never ever gonna make that same money? It's b, we all know it's b*, so let's not stop pretending a lot of it is luck a lot of it comes down to how your family had money or Other reasons.

I lived and worked in HK for four years, so there is no need to lecture me on conditions for many who live and work there - mainly Philippinos and poor mainland Chinese - ditto with Dubai and Bengalis/Pakistanis etc. Ditto with large swathes of the world.

I repeat, the world is not fair - no amount of social engineering will change that.

You appear to like documentaries - so perhaps you are familiar with the brutality of the Serengeti, or Kruger.

What the fuck has his dad or Elon for that matter got to do with British politics?!

That's good that you can just sit there and go. Well. The world is not fair. I lived in Hong Kong. Don't tell me about it and then you try to justify it because what they're poor people, so it's okay, it's not okay that's the difference between somebody like me and somebody like you

And how do you know that no social engineering would help? How do you know if hong kong didn't tax the rich more to spread the wealth and build better housing for these poor people? How do you know that wouldn't help

I just went to wikipedia to read about his dad.

"In the early 1990s, Errol, then aged 45, married Heide Bezuidenhout, a 25-year old he described as "one of the best looking women I’ve ever seen in my life".[21] They had two children.[22] Jana Bezuidenhout, who later became his romantic partner, was his stepdaughter from that marriage, four years old at the time Errol became her stepfather."

er, what?

I’m not young.
The strength of feeling amongst farmers now is more united than they’ve been, that’s what I mean. I live in a rural area, a real
farming community, and I’ve never seen this pulling together before.

I know there have been previous protests, I know people who went to the countryside alliance March over 20 years ago, which brought together rural communities, but this is different.
The protest 20 years ago was largely about rural life, the neglect from urban government, the lack of care around the decimation of rural communities with things like foot and mouth. It wasn’t mainly limited to farmers and the majority turnout was other people connected to rural life.

This is farmers, known for grumbling and getting on with it. Getting together like this is big.
