DH just woken from a danger nap, he thinks it's 10pm

He woke up and asked me the time, I said 10pm, he's rushed out to walk the dog thinking she's going to shit somewhere as she's usually walked at 6, he's looked at his phone 3 times. Poor sod 😄

So funny , can’t wait to do this next time DH nods off !

Wouldn't work with us, there's clocks everywhere, living room wall, bedroom, hallway, kitchen (microwave), even in the bathroom! Still think the OP's hilarious though! 🤣

She tricked him into thinking it was really late. Then "rewarded" him by flashing herself. If my husband just randomly whipped his dick out and expected the meer sight of his body to make up for being cruel I'd think it was gross

It wasn't random. We were laughing about the time thing and I asked how I could make it up to him and he said 'show me your tits'

Thanks for all the replies. Didn't expect a bun fight. DH and I are just very childish with each other at times. We've both got serious jobs, (DHs in particular carries a heavy emotional burden) which probably contributes to us being silly at home. There's nothing cruel in any of it. We love each other dearly and take good care of eachother. We've also been together since we were teenagers and have never really lost that immature humour. It's reversed only for each other. Not everyone's cup of tea I know, some people are far more sophisticated but each to there own.

We've been together 30 years but still like doing silly stuff.

A rare time when I genuinely laughed out aloud

greengreyblue · 17/11/2024 22:33

Well You’ve made me smile OP. Ignore the fun sponges

Echobelly · 17/11/2024 22:33

Look, I personally hate 'affection expressed by teasing/practical jokes' but I'm not going to have a go if that's what works for some other people and with a 30 year marriage, evidently it does in the case of OP and I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Ignore the po faces, OP. It gave me a giggle. 😅

God no, it’s awful. Nor am I chortling over the thread. But it’s harmless. And amusing. I’m chortling at those who have spent time commenting with how deeply unimpressed they are. Just move on. Why post? It’s baffling. What a waste of their time.

Or do they want to try to feel better about something else by shaming an OP? Who knows…

It's fairly harmless to say 'nah, don't find it funny,' but the 'God that's hilarious ' posters are really struggling to handle that level of disagreement.

CherryDrops89 · 17/11/2024 22:42

Well you've made my night. Nothing wrong with being childish and messing on, as long as both parties enjoy it. You crack on and ignore the MN pearl clutchers

Well, I found it funny, OP, and I think your relationship sounds wonderful. I hope DH and I still prank each other after thirty years.

We're ten years in and prank each other. DH likes to surprise me sometimes. He'll randomly open the bathroom door when I'm using the toilet and fire NERF bullets down on me. He's 42.

The odd one occasionally ends up down the bog. I do enjoy watching him fish it out. 😁

MessyNeate · 17/11/2024 22:46

Gosh @Verbena193 you've caused quite a stir 😂

ivegoneswimming · 17/11/2024 22:48

Verbena193 · 17/11/2024 22:43

Yeh, I am to be fair!

I thought it was funny especially the tit flashing. At least no dogs got injured like in Colin From Accounts.

I do agree with the poster who mentioned Mrs Brown's Boys though. I think that's shit.

Sarkycat2 · 17/11/2024 22:49

Verbena193 · 17/11/2024 19:44

He's back, he's laughing. He's chuffed he's still got the evening to enjoy 😄

I've compensated him for my cruelty with a tit flash.

Hahaha I love this!

tweedledee12 · 17/11/2024 22:53

This is brilliant!

My husband got me with this kind of thing when I woke up early on a Saturday, thinking it was Friday - the fucker let me get ready for work and everything 😂😂 cruel, cruel man.

Flux1 · 17/11/2024 22:54

Fair play - love it!!!

tillydern · 17/11/2024 22:54

Bienzi · 17/11/2024 21:33

Or they just don't share this particular kind of humour?

Some posters are guffawing themselves senseless over the OP's gag, some think it's...not very funny. The posters calling other posters 'miserable' etc. for not joining in the hilarity...you do know that different people find different things funny?

Mrs Brown's Boys existed to show us beyond any doubt that humour is not universal. That's not complicated.

Obviously people find different things funny, but commenting on something you personally don’t find funny with eye rolls and sarcasm is silly and a bit embarrassing.

Kibble29 · 17/11/2024 22:55

All the mumsnet klaxons going mad right now. Asking the OP her age, asking if she’s new here.

They do seem to do it to try and make themselves feel superior to complete strangers on the internet.

Makes you wonder what goes on in their lives.

I think it should be called 'Mrs Brown's Boys syndrome' 😁

ivegoneswimming · 17/11/2024 23:04

I think it's sad how serious people can be. Don't like it move on. No need to comment.

Even though I did comment about Mrs Brown's Boys. I actually don't know anybody who finds it funny. So I apologise for that.

I think normally when people don't find something funny, they just don't join in. It's a bit strange to announce it and then try and stop others from enjoying the joke too

Babysharkdododododooo · 17/11/2024 23:06

ManhattanPopcorn · 17/11/2024 19:42

That's a horrible thing to do.
It's the very definition of laughing at him not with him.

i’m sure he will survive

FlipFlopFlipper · 17/11/2024 23:10

Don’t explain yourself to this miserable lot, you are hilarious 😂

My kinda women 👌👏

Like a kid taking the skipping rope away from the others in the playground, because they don't want to play but can't stand seeing the others enjoying it.
