Three poos a day

On the back of another thread, how many times a day do you poo. I am a 1- 3 times a day girl. Some posters on thread were saying it's a once a week event. Blew my mind!

3/4 times a day, depending on what i eat/drink!

a happy bowel is an empty bowel!

Once, occasionally twice. Once a week is wild

Once a day, dh minimum 5 on a good day. He does have ibs though. Once a week sounds painful!

Some days as many as 5. I hate the amount time in my day that pooing takes up!

I poo about four times a day.

I had a colleague who pooed once every ten days.

Mostly once a day. 3 times would be an upset stomach for me.

God too many, up to 10. I have IBS though.

Oncr every two days is good for me.

I thought I was abnormal.

I usually go 2x and sometimes 3x a day. Not diarrhea but usually on the 'looser' side. I eat a lot of fruit and veg, like 3 portions of fruit and 3/4 of veg, plus nuts.

I find it a bit embarrassing as it's often brought on by eating at meal times or even a hot drink. And when I need to go I have to go.

What I find annoying is my usual toilet habit is a poo within an hour of getting up, but often another one by 10am. Both perfectly normal but it makes it hard with travelling etc.

Anyone else?

Why do you want to know that?

Once a day. Any more than once is an upset tummy for me. Any less than once is the end of the world.

Cannot stand being backed up.

Thanks for all of your poo information lovely people. I feel like you may be a self selected group of over achievers in the poo department as these are indeed high numbers. Why do I want to know ? Much easier to ask on MN rather than IRL. I love a bodily function chat and am personally proud of my strike rate.

Once a day here

Typically once a day or maybe slightly less (ie not every single day).

I've been going eight times a day recently.

Once a day or occasionally twice. I cannot imagine pooing 5 times a day - how much must you eat to poo that much? - or once a week - surely only if you live on small amounts of white carbs?

I sometimes got 3 or 4 times a day and other days I don’t go at all. My bowels are very unpredictable and I often need to do that which is unthinkable on Mumsnet and go at work, in a restaurant and even at another person’s house. When I need to go, I need to go and I’d really rather do it in a toilet than poo my pants.

Usually once a day, sometimes twice. Sometimes I miss a day, but I start feeling uncomfortable if I can't poo for two days in a row.

What's with that 10am thing?! Annoying, is what it is!

2 - 3 times a day. Usually normal full size poos.

Just to bring the average down - usually once a day, but definitely not unusual for it to be once every couple of days.

if I go on holiday / away from home my bowels freak out and it can be up for 4 / 5 days which is not good.

The day before my cycle starts my body does a complete flush of my digestive system, I will invariably wake up somewhere between 2 and 3am with horrible cramps and burning pain on my left side, hobble to the toilet and produce a real life production of the full Bristol chart whilst vomiting into the waste bin.

Then I will go a week without a bowel movement then about every 2-3 days until ovulation when I get horribly constipated for another 2-3 days.

From as young as I can remember to up until I had kids I would poo once a week. After children I now poo once a day.

If I go on holiday I don't poo for 5 days at least. 🤦🏻‍♀️
