I have one of those neighbours too, @Cherrysoup
I hate to think what their electricity bill is like.

We have one who lights the house and garden like that. I don't need to use my landing light when it's dark.

Thank you so much for this thread. I’ve now achieved a big life ambition- I’m beyond thrilled. Gloucestershire.

I wonder if we live nearby, that’s very similar to a ruin near me

I think there’s going to be another big burst coming, maybe in an hour 🤔

I saw the other big burst. Around midnight! I was in my night-gear ready for bed, and thought 'hmm let's go and have a look outside one last time. And there they were again! 😃 Got my coat and shoes on and shot outside again for half an hour! 😆

Nope! Just a similar ruin then

Bimblesalong · 11/10/2024 10:48

Amazing piccies! Another Cheshire person here. Some great sightings and then stymied by clouds. Hoping for clear skies tonight although it looks as if I’ll be disappointed.

Anyone seeing them tonight yet...........? Apparently they may be visible tonight (according to a number of news reports earlier today!)

wulves · 11/10/2024 21:07

Get the AuroraWatch app, it shows you the activity and gives you an alert when there’s high activity. Right now there’s nothing.

Thanks @wulves Smile

Just looked on Aurora Watch - a minute ago - and it's now saying 'minor activity!'

(It said 'no activity' when you submitted your post a quarter of an hour ago!)
