Nice. I'm in Durham itself and have too much light pollution.

We found the longer we looked the more you could see with the naked eye. If you turn on a light or look at your phone you stop being able to see them. Amazing views in Kent.

I love seeing the red streak so bright in some of these pics. It's more faint from my view even after tweaking. This is unedited.

In the Chilterns. The dark pic didn't even need a long exposure, I could see a faint pinky glow with the naked eye. Am so chuffed, have never seen them before - thanks to the OP for the heads up and to previous posters for camera tips.

Clearly visible to the naked eye here in N Wales (and without long exposure on my old mobile phone!)

I completely missed it last time, despite going out for a drive to try and find somewhere good to look, only to come home to a thousand social media photos of the skies taken from my street.

Saw out in the sticks in Kent and visible to the naked eye, so happy tonight, it’s magical.

Love the pictures everyone. My neighbour has got Blackpool illuminations in their back garden and it really does spoil any kind of night sky watching.
