I met a beautiful cocker spaniel puppy in the park today - she jumped up at me and put her nose in my hand. She was all squirmy and waggy with big brown eyes and flappy ears - an absolute delightful girl.

A really lovely message from a close friend I'm having a horrible time and it really picked me up and dusted me off.

I did really well on my diet, no cheating....YET! 🙆🏻‍♀️

We had some promotional cupcakes at work today - nice treat to have with my morning coffee 😊

I have the house to myself currently. As dh and dd both wfh and I work full time in the office, this is a rare event.

Sat next to my two year old at bedtime, all lights off, quiet time etc, and he reaches over and grabs my hand in both his pudgy little mitts, kisses it and says ‘you’re so precious, mama’ 😭

Right now. I’m sitting by the fire. I had such a horrible and sad day. But now I feel better.

I found out a close family member is expecting and it's made me feel so happy. I also got told my temporary job that I absolutely love is now being made permanent. It's a very good day.

Used DDog’s raincoat for the first time this Autumn. He looks like a mini Count Dracula with the upright neck protector!
It’s fleece lined, easy to put on and has reflective piping for nighttime walks. I don’t think I’ll need to buy another.

I know, he's only 8 weeks old !! Me thinks he's going to be a big boy. It's going to be chaos.

Taking pup up onto the Pennine moors and just soaking in the peace and quiet. Hearing no traffic noise was just bliss. Puppy loved it.

My daughter saying she had a good day. She has had a rubbish few years with mental health and even a normal day makes me happy. To see her smile is such a bonus.
Both kids loving the meal I cooked for dinner and looking sated.

Had my nails done in anticipation of a 'first date' that I'm going on tomorrow 😃

Today my 16 year old asked me if I wanted to play cards. We did for a good while, just chatting with no screens was lovely.

Took my mum to the dental hospital today as she has to have a guard made for her teeth as she is having mouth surgery for cancer next week. She came out and said "It's changed a bit in there - I didnt recognise the place". This being the hospital she trained in and left in 1962. She hasn't been inside it since. It was the way she said it, almost with indignation as though how dare they change it. It made me chuckle all the way home in what is a very stressful time.
