Could be anything..

I met a beautiful cocker spaniel puppy in the park today - she jumped up at me and put her nose in my hand. She was all squirmy and waggy with big brown eyes and flappy ears - an absolute delightful girl.

I bought a ridiculous lamp!! And an amazing hair clip of gaudiness.

I love this!

We got discharged from the miscarriage clinic today as our baby boy is 18 weeks and perfect 🌈 after 4 losses it feels like a dream 💭

This post cheered me up!

Saw one of the druggies/pissheads that stain our town shouting at a mother pushing a pram. A bigger guy went to her aid and punched him in the face knocking him to the floor.

That’s actually horrible.

My nice thing was discovering that my work shifts are going to be an hour shorter from next week, for the same pay.

ExhaustedHousewife · 26/09/2024 19:59

My little Granddaughter has learned to manipulate me into watching masha and the bear by cupping her tiny hands under her chin and saying "pweeese".That made my year!!she's not even 2 yet,so I am absolutely done for.😂

DilemmaDelilah · 26/09/2024 20:07

Having a lovely text conversation with my 14 year old grandson who was home sick today.

FreeSausages · 26/09/2024 20:15

Been having a difficult time lately and the woman on the phone from my utility company couldn’t have been nicer and more understanding if she’d tried. Really made my day.

Lulu1919 · 26/09/2024 20:18

Got home to find my new grandson was there and we had a cuddle

A stranger came over to me specifically to tell me she loved my outfit. Very kind of her.

I have recently lost my best friend to cancer. It's her funeral tomorrow. She used to do this all the time, and people would beam when she did. Your post has made me happy. Thank you so much. 48 years of friendship. I miss her so much.

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 26/09/2024 20:22

My Granny Smith apple was PERFECT.

whatisforteamum · 26/09/2024 20:28

Coming home I saw a squirrel with an apple in his mouth very close by.
Amazingly he climbed a tree and hung onto the apple.!

Resisterance · 26/09/2024 20:32

I felt all shivery whilst working from home as coming down with something. I took an hour off work (freelance so don't judge me!) And got into bed and turned the electric blanket on, snuggled down and fell asleep. Was so good!

Then my folks invited us out for dinner so i didn't have to cook either. Hooray!

Theimpossiblegirl · 26/09/2024 20:33

A little boy told me mine is the best class he's ever been in. He's only been in 4 others in his life but still...

Oneblindmouse · 26/09/2024 20:35

DD and DS are doing a charity walk on Saturday in aid of our local hospice. I was taking DD's form into the hospice reception today and the garden was full of sunflowers, DD's favourite flower. They made me smile.

honeyfox · 26/09/2024 20:39

I found a photograph of 17 year old me and my mum that I had never seen before, with her arm around me. She passed in 2010.

Hedjwitch · 26/09/2024 20:49

Sending you strength for tomorrow @StMarieforme . I endured the exact same situation 3 years ago.

Back to the point of the thread...umm..my smear test came back clear so suppose that was good.

Holshicup · 26/09/2024 20:51

My(grumpy) early teen when asked to describe her mum in one word at school today tells me she choose "icon"
As a single mum who's felt anything but recently she made my day!

MillshakePickle · 26/09/2024 20:54

My baby took his first steps today and my older dc was here to be apart of the magic.

FeelingSad2024 · 26/09/2024 21:01

It's my dog's birthday today so took small DD to the garden centre after school to get him a 'present'. Her evident delight at giving him a new chew toy and singing happy birthday to him (whilst he looked largely bemused) made my day

FeelingSad2024 · 26/09/2024 21:03

Oh and also DD got a sticker in PE today, she was saying she was going to try her hardest to get a sticker as she hadn't had one yet, and her complete delight on the way home that she managed to get a sticker was just lovely. Made me smile with just the 'pureness' of it

TerraFirmaTethered · 26/09/2024 21:08

Cuddling my little cocker on the stairs when she was scared of the thunder. She put her head in the crook of my neck and her paw on my shoulder cuddling me back.

ThisMustBeMyDream · 26/09/2024 21:09

My work colleagues clubbed together to give me money as an engagement gift, specifically to pay towards my wedding flowers.
No one has ever done anything like that for me before. I've had 3 children and I'm 40 this year. No one did a baby shower, or a leaving do when I've left long term jobs, leaving gifts... nothing. I don't expect it, but when you see people doing it for others, you feel a little left out (and when you do it for others too!).
It just went straight to all the feels. It wasn't the money, it was the thought behind it and the messages in the card. It was just lovely. And totally unexpected.

BeachHutsAndDeckchairs · 26/09/2024 21:16

Sequins. I have sewn some onto an old cushion cover and I think it looks great. Someone I know dropped in as I was doing it and said it looked childish but I think you're never too old for sequins and shiny things.

monsterflake · 26/09/2024 21:19

My cats completely ignoring the house full of comfortable sofas, beds and cushions to try and squeeze together on top of my sons schoolbag. Daft animals are the best kind 😂

Duckcake · 26/09/2024 21:19

I wore a dress today and my 4 year old son told me I looked like a beautiful princess. I didn't, but it made me happy he thought so.
