Could be anything..

I met a beautiful cocker spaniel puppy in the park today - she jumped up at me and put her nose in my hand. She was all squirmy and waggy with big brown eyes and flappy ears - an absolute delightful girl.

Watched the fox playing with a squeaky toy with pure joy. It ran off as someone made a loud noise, but it came back to retrieve it before running off again

CheeseDreamz · 26/09/2024 17:33

A massive spontaneous sit on my lap hug with my teen DD. She is the best hugger. I feel so much happier afterwards.

fiorentina · 26/09/2024 17:34

A stranger came over to me specifically to tell me she loved my outfit. Very kind of her.

Ohjustalittle · 26/09/2024 17:37

I rang my son who went to university last week. He sounded happy and was telling me about his lectures, we had a really good chat.

Sidebeforeself · 26/09/2024 17:39

@YorkieTheRabbit im glad you added “ a vase” at the end of that sentence!

Mine was DH unexpectedly texting me to say did I want picking up from work ( saving me a 20min walk home in the rain)

GoditsSeptember · 26/09/2024 17:40

These are lovely, I needed to read this, thanks for starting this thread OP.

Mine is that a dog wagged it's tail at me when I was on a walk. It looked really happy to see, me, the randomer. The smell of the trees and air in the rain made me feel happy too.

Tharshe · 26/09/2024 17:41

Aw these are so lovely to read. 😘I haven't had anything nice happen yet today, but there's still time!

AutumnTimeForCosy24 · 26/09/2024 17:43

Reading this thread!!

@listsandbudgets

that would make my day/week/month!!

spaniels are 'my dog' 💕 there aren't too many breeds I'm not keen on, but spaniels are 'the one' for me.

im that annoying person who encourages them to 'misbehave' and ignore people

That puppy is cute

I thought Max or Duke when I opened the photo - he is rather lovely

Marmite27 · 26/09/2024 18:30

We had therapy dogs visit the office 😍

Lostthetastefordahlias · 26/09/2024 18:36

Rained heavily all day apart from school pickup - usually the other way round!

GiddyRobin · 26/09/2024 18:37

I got drenched this morning so was freezing after I got back from an errand. DH and I both working from home. He ran me a hot bath at lunchtime and it was SO nice and needed!

Greenfingers37 · 26/09/2024 18:38

We were in the local park this morning doing a group Couch to 5K programme and some teenage school kids asked if they could join in-I think they were probably taking the mick but they jogged alongside us with their uniforms and backpacks on, laughing (probably at us!). It just made me smile!!!

Dr13Hadley · 26/09/2024 18:38

Ds1 's cross country was cancelled because of the weather so I had a cosy nap instead of standing in the pouring rain!

ImWearingPantaloons · 26/09/2024 18:39

A glass of red wine and my jammies having got home drenched and very cold

wavingfuriously · 26/09/2024 18:44

Hearing a favourite song playing in a shop, just hung around listening for while😊

CabbagesAndCeilingWax · 26/09/2024 18:49

My line manager sat with me for 40 minutes, listened to my worries, and told me I was good at my job. Actually, that was a pretty massive thing!

squashyhat · 26/09/2024 18:51

I have tried to recreate Vito's parmigiana from Celeb Masterchef which got rave reviews from John and Gregg. It's currently in the oven so fingers crossed.

ZeroFucksGivenToday · 26/09/2024 18:52

Mine are much smaller, but there are some beautiful ones on here.

I had to have a new boiler last month. Put the heating on tonight and realised how much warmer my house is. It feels cosy and nice (and makes me realise how old my old one actually was).

Rang my 11yo dd on my way home from work and she was in a lovely chatty mood and we had a really lovely natter.

MuggleMe · 26/09/2024 18:52

DH had the day off after being away on a course. He did the wet school run, made dinner and let me nap. Much appreciated after solo parenting for a couple of days.

Bluebellsinthewind · 26/09/2024 18:54

I went for a little walk and found a conker tree 🌳

I was like a child running around collecting them up.

AutumnalNights · 26/09/2024 18:54

My neighbours gorgeous 1 year old. Cheeks so huge they have to be seen to be believed!
