How often do you have dessert after meals?

Was talking to a colleague today who said she makes homemade desserts for the family to have after dinner every evening.

This got me thinking.. and I only really do this if entertaining or if I bake over the weekend for fun. Usually we would just have a few squares of chocolate or something to follow lunch or dinner if we fancied it. I rarely buy desserts that are premade really.

Just wondered what other people do, how often do you have dessert?

Hardly ever, it's just unnecessary calories.
DDs sometimes have fruit/yoghurt/an ice lolly if they're still hungry after dinner but family desserts are just very occasionally at the weekend.

When people say they never have dessert, does that mean they never eat anything sweet? Or do they mean they never have elaborate desserts but often have chocolate, biscuits, ice cream, etc.?

Are you counting fruit as a sweet? I eat plenty of fruit.

Otherwise, not really. Maybe once a month or so I might have an ice cream or a bit of chocolate. More often on holiday.

I just don't have a sweet tooth. Prefer savoury food
