Pop to the corner shop in joggers and scruffy t shirt and trainer. Hair in a scruffy un-brushed bun and not brushed teeth or washed face!

We only had milk for one coffee and everyone else still asleep!

I'd brush my hair. I do teeth after breakfast.

GingerPirate · 21/09/2024 09:56

It never happened yet.
😁

Don't be ridiculous. I didnt say YOUR teeth were sticky - I have no idea what your general oral hygiene is 😆

My teeth and gums are very healthy. My teeth feel much nicer after I've cleaned them. If you don't mind not doing it then great! We are all different. Sorry that my teeth cleaning has annoyed you so much first thing in the morning!

Edited

I'm afraid no matter how much you think your teeth are perfect, if you wake up with sticky teeth, it IS a sign of gum disease, plaque, and tooth decay.

You can ask any dentist, or look it up online. Healthy teeth should NOT be 'sticky' in the morning.

Weather we have here at the moment, I'd take shampoo and shower gel and have a good wash on the way.

Hopefully wouldn't get struck by the lightning.

Cynic17 · 21/09/2024 09:57

I would just do without the milk, and go out shopping later in the day, when I'm dressed.
But we do usually have too much milk, rather than not enough.

unsync · 21/09/2024 09:57

Get extra and put one in the freezer for next time.

SummerFade · 21/09/2024 09:59

Yes, if I lived near to a shop I’d nip there in joggers and a hoody. Why wouldn’t you?

Unfortunately, I live rurally about 7 miles from the town so if we run out of any foodstuffs, I wait until I’m next in town. Although I have 2 freezers full of food and some powdered milk in case we get snowed in.

Skipsurvey · 21/09/2024 10:00

it wouldnt happen
i would have been at the shop the night before!

Giggorata · 21/09/2024 10:00

I would. Neeed teeea.

W0tnow · 21/09/2024 10:02

I’d use the milk for my own coffee and send my son to get more when he woke, as he’d be the culprit who drank the milk!

viques · 21/09/2024 10:03

Yes. But not wearing slippers or a dressing gown.

For some reason people round my way , I say people, I mean young women, wear big fluffy dressing gowns as coats, doesn’t harm me at all , but it looks wrong! Very wrong.

Semi skimmed and skimmed milk freeze well, I always have a few pints in my freezer. Hate powdered milk, reminds me of my bed sit with no fridge days!

Can’t you live without a tea or coffee though, even for a few hours until it’s more convenient to go out to the shop? I’d definitely make do with juice etc or use cream in my coffee instead - apart from house burning down there’s not much that could convince me to go out at 7am🤣

I NEED a cup of tea every morning to function. We don't regularly have juices in our house, as it's not something we buy often. Nor cream, that's just for dessert and cooking here. I'm not a coffee drinker at all. So, in this household, milk is definitely needed.

Miyagi99 · 21/09/2024 10:07

@BrightHarvestMoon they’re sticky if you were eating crisps watching a film then fall asleep on the sofa (apparently) 😂

Isthiscorrect · 21/09/2024 10:10

Throttle the person who drank the last bit of milk. We are 8 minutes drive to the nearest shop. I plan very carefully so there is always a spare bottle. There's only two of us in this house, I use very little milk in tea and nothing else. If I'm cooking with milk then I've planned ahead. DH I'm looking at you.
And yes I would make my tea first, no hesitation.

Chillilounger · 21/09/2024 10:17

I would clean teeth brush hair and moisturiser on face but otherwise yes.

SofiaAmes · 21/09/2024 10:18

Vanilla ice cream works in a pinch if you are out of milk and just need a bit for coffee/tea.

Mycatisbetterthanyourcat · 21/09/2024 10:18

I regularly have customers come in wearing pyjamas and oodies etc. I once had a lady come in for a vape with her hair in a towel and a face mask on. You're fine op 😂

Edingril · 21/09/2024 10:19

I don't care how it would look if I did wear a dressing gown or pyjamas or old clothes, but I naturally would wash and dress once I woke up and 7 am is too early to go to shops to come home again so would go out later and get it

mrsDracoMalfoy · 21/09/2024 10:21

I'd brush my teeth but the rest is just a normal weekend look.

timeforanewmoniker · 21/09/2024 10:21

No I'd get it Deliveroo'd

Doggymummar · 21/09/2024 10:22

I went to the chippy Thursday night in my slippers, they look like eggs tho

Fundays12 · 21/09/2024 10:23

No I would send my husband lol

PadstowGirl · 21/09/2024 10:24

God yeah. I live in quite an affluent village. I'd go in my PJs (although admittedly they are plain black). No one here would care if I was wearing a bikini with wellies 😳

IrisApfel · 21/09/2024 10:25

The brushed teeth would be more important than the milk to me. I wear a mouth guard and it leaves a rancid taste in my mouth despite being cleaned and sterilised every day so I brush my teeth before I've even properly woken up.

I also never wear my hair up unless I'm swimming because I look like the Trunchbull other than those two I'd be down the shop faster than you can say Jack Robinson.
