We watched Nightsleeper last night.
Was really looking forward to it.
It was so unbelievably bad but we loved it... DH said it was like a 6th form production😆

Hallmark Christmas films
Virgin River (possibly written by writers of Hallmark Christmas films 🤔)
Chinese takeaway
Warburton's Toastie bread

VerbenaGirl · 16/09/2024 11:33

I'm not the first to say it in the thread - but Angel Delight was the first thing that popped into my head!

OldFred · 16/09/2024 11:34

Food wise -
Crab sticks, so bad they're known as 'Crap sticks' in our house 😂

Wall's Viennetta - our family tag line is
"99% air, 0% ice cream..."

Red, White and Royal Blue film on Prime. The son of the American President falls in love with a closeted Prince of England, what's not to love/hate?

It's extremely cheesy, like a Hallmark Christmas movie on crack but with better production standards and hotter cast.

It's terrible but I love it and have now watched it a few times as I find it oddly soothing and the lead actors are very pretty.

I can’t wait for about 15 years in the future when this comes true - little Louis Wales and the son of whichever Trump is President at the time…..

fubared · 16/09/2024 11:39

Dairylea slices

GalileoHumpkins · 16/09/2024 11:40

I love disaster films and TV shows, the cheesier the better. This one was particularly bad/good.

911 and the various spin offs - 911 Lonestar etc
They are so bad, but so good.

PfishFood · 16/09/2024 11:52

The Mallorca Files - first 2 series were on BBC until the pandemic stopped recording. It's now popped up with a third series on Prime and it's quite terrible, but somehow completely addictive too. I binged the entire third series in a few days.

What seemed like it was going to be on the same lines is "The Good Ship Murder" on Channel 5. Unfortunately the acting on that is terrible on another level and I couldn't stand more than 1.5 episodes before giving up.

Pacific Rim. It's cheesy, a lot of the dialogue is ridiculous, and it's got enormous plot holes. But it's just so much fun. It's one of those movies that hits the mark perfectly.

Oh, and Pot Noodles. I know they're awful and despite the fact I can do a pretty good stir fry from scratch, every couple of months I give in and have a chicken and mushroom Pot Noodle.

Ah, chicken and mushroom Pot Noodle... It's my occasional guilty pleasure Blush

ProvincialLady2024 · 16/09/2024 12:00

Definitely instant noodles.
Space Raiders
Chocolate custard.

OhmygodDont · 16/09/2024 12:03

Home alone. All of them 🤷🏻‍♀️ still rewatch them though 🤣

Most movies once you’ve watched them more than once though and you start pulling them apart a bit.

Pacific Rim is one of my favourite films!
Atlantic Rim on the other hand is unwatchable imo
Edited to correct ? to !

thoonerismspread · 16/09/2024 12:16

Another one agreeing pot noodles!
Aldi prosecco!
Shein clothes.
Squares (the crisps).
Warburton's white loaf.

I eat healthily most of the time but if I want junk, I want PROPER junk!

OriginalUsername2 · 16/09/2024 12:18

The Room (film) is the worst best thing ever. (Or the best worst thing ever?)

Virgin River is based on a Mills and Boon series so that says it all really 😂.

Another vote for Emily in Paris!

Idratherbepaddleboarding · 16/09/2024 12:24

Oh and Selling Sunset although that’s becoming just bad!

Edited

Apologies in advance but this is actually one of our favourite family in jokes (yes, we're a hilarious bunch 😉)
Again, it's so shit it's funny

What's the difference between Pacific Rim and Atlantic Rim?

They're oceans apart...

This is Jay Rayner on Pot Noodles : -

There’s nothing like a bit of ‘kitchen lipstick’ to elevate even the most bog-standard food item

@OriginalUsername2 I came on to say The Room, hilarious. Don’t know where you can watch the full thing though, the full version is uploaded on You Tube from time to time.

There is even a film about The Room, The Disaster Artist which is on Netflix, not seen that yet though.

My son and I do random Room quotes all the time!

SuperFi · 16/09/2024 12:31

**Prime not Netflix.

JustEatTheOneInTheBallPit · 16/09/2024 12:36

Mumsnet falls into the “so bad it’s good category for me”. 😂

Below Deck
MAFS
Dating Naked
Law and Order

Fridge Raiders
Shin ramen cups
Iceland chicken nuggets

CheerfulBunny · 16/09/2024 12:41

I LOVE crab/crap sticks but I don't want to know what's in 'em! I reckon I could do a whole pack with either soy sauce or mayo to dip.
My standard go to dinner without OH is those really cheap Asian packet noodles as soup with veg floating in it, maybe tofu. This kids me that it's healthy. I know they really aren't and are full of terrible chemicals. I also adore Super Noodles if I'm pushing the boat out.

That train thing last night was beyond awful. It reminded me of Doctor Who or some kid's drama and not in a good way. It made the awful plane to China drama look Oscar winning quality. I will, however, be watching the rest of it. 😀

HowDidThisHappenDinesh · 16/09/2024 12:41

Another film that was so bad it’s good - 65. With Adam Driver. No notes. Loved every second
