When I feel very upset, something twinges quickly and sharply in my left arm. Just next to the inner elbow. No idea why.

What foibles does your body have?

My hip does this weird thing
If I swing my leg over a gate/bike/horse it's like it pops out. I can't move or speak for the pain and then it's like it pops back in and it's fine again

Have you had shingles? I used to get achey pains all my left side elbow, shoulder, wrist where I had shingles whenever I was coming down with something.

No, I had chickenpox as a child but fortunately no shingles. Oddly enough, it's not the wrist I broke either.

shellyleppard · 16/09/2024 20:16

@MissAshworth thats it exactly.....no warning it just zaps me

PetrichorSoul · 16/09/2024 20:20

I’m a super taster.

Mellow flavours like cucumber and avocado are really strong to me.

It makes all alcohol disgusting because literally all I can taste is the alcohol.

I can tell when the cows have been brought inside and are eating hay by the change in the flavour of the butter.

This thread is brilliant!

I thought it was just me! There's a certain point on my face, just left of my upper lip that if I accidentally touch it, the entire inside of my mouth itches like crazy for about half an hour.

If I scratch an itch at a particular place on my stomach, I get a sharp stabbing feeling in my left shoulder blade.

Aren't our bodies weird?!

IceStationZebra · 16/09/2024 20:22

My left ankle joint cracks really loudly. Sometimes I can do it on command, sometimes it’s random and nearby people flinch

thistimelastweek · 16/09/2024 20:22

I can't read aloud without yawning.

My hands go tingly if I get a fright.

thenewaveragebear1983 · 16/09/2024 20:23

I have a hair that grows out of the very corner of my eyes and I have special tweezers that are for pulling them out. I can tell when they are grown enough to need pulled.

Runki · 16/09/2024 20:25

@GrannyAchingsShepherdsHut My granddad's face used to completely seize up down one side if he ate a banana....Needless to say he didn't eat any after he discovered what was making it happen, but it was like a palsy! So weird. Your post made me think of him.

Turnitoffnonagain · 16/09/2024 20:29

Sometimes brushing my teeth makes me want to poo. 🤷

salamithumbs · 16/09/2024 20:30

If people start aggressively shouting at me/near me, my knuckles go all stiff and tingly and I can't bend my fingers properly...sometimes even happens if I'm watching a tense film 😬

SittingHereInLimbo · 16/09/2024 20:32

Eating fresh-baked bread or freshly made (or cold) chips gives me hiccups.

Cecilly · 16/09/2024 20:33

I sneeze when I look at the sky and it's bright and sunny.

Sapphire387 · 16/09/2024 20:33

I have a point on one side of my neck, where if I press it, I can feel a parallel pressure on the opposite side, like a mirror. It's a sharp sort of feeling. Never figured out why, it's been happening since I was a teenager!

ncforcatquestion · 16/09/2024 20:37

FloofPaws · 16/09/2024 20:11

Are you peri? That's a symptom 🥺

I don't think so. It's since i started on new medication

Telephone conversations often make me want to poo.
God knows why.

landris · 16/09/2024 20:38

Looking at a bright light makes me sneeze.

StMarieforme · 16/09/2024 20:38

Trousers sit an inch higher on my right leg. This is because my right hip sits an inch higher from years of carrying a child on my left hip and pushing my right hip out to compensate. (4 children 3 grandchildren).

Plucking my eyebrows makes me sneeze. Chewing gum makes me burb. And sometimes my nose starts to run and drips out of nowhere!

Plucking my eyebrows makes me sneeze

I came on here to say the same thing 😁! It’s a handy trick if I feel a sneeze lurking, but it refuses to budge. Out come the tweezers!

OutrageousImmoral · 16/09/2024 20:42

hockityponktas · 16/09/2024 19:55

Sometimes a muscle in my right thigh/hip area vibrates like I have a phone going off in my pocket!

I get this too!

HeartandSeoul · 16/09/2024 20:43

If I’m lying down and my stomach rumbles because it is empty, I hear a ‘fizzing’ sound in my ears.

Ladyof2024 · 16/09/2024 20:45

If anyone or anything touches the smaller of my back at exactly the point where the bum crack ends, I instantly pee. Even if I have just finished urinating I can bring out some more by touching myself on that spot.

dothehokeycokey · 16/09/2024 20:47

Whenever I use a q tip in my ear it makes me sneeze.

Ladyof2024 · 16/09/2024 20:47

Sorry that should have read small of my back.

Gemütlich81 · 16/09/2024 20:49

The back of my left knee locks when I kneel or bend my leg underneath me when sitting on a chair. It is a horrible sensation. It does unlock but you can feel it unlocking.

I sneeze too when eating mints.

I also get tingly hands when I get a sudden shock.
