Cue spooky music...

Is there anything you've read on here that's stuck with you, or you'd like to get to the bottom of?
I'd like to know what happened to the two Microsoft laptops which were delivered to a MN's daughter I think a week or two ago?
Also the woo one about the missing clock chains.

What are your unsolved MN mysteries?

It was titled something like 'weird?'

I can't recall fully but the woman moved home to a rural area. There was a small pub close by. Weird neighbours who may have wanted to but previously.

I always wonder what happened to her.

The biggest mystery of all... who the Flip is Boswell!

KnickerlessParsons · 11/09/2024 19:10

Clock chains and the woman who sent a remote control car down a tunnel in her bf's house and then went in after it when it got stuck, and we never heard from her again. Did she get stuck in the tunnel?

RebeccaDecember · 11/09/2024 19:14

Is the baby called Jimberley??!! 😁

NewYearNewName2024 · 11/09/2024 19:15

Someone has mentioned it but the tunnel one! Poster's partner had a house and they found a tunnel in the basement, left us hanging on what was down there!

Doggymummar · 11/09/2024 19:17

It's annoying when they don't finish the story isn't it.

KnickerlessParsons · 11/09/2024 19:17

And a few years ago there was a woman living in her car with her dog. She couldn't find any accommodation, council or otherwise, where she could keep her dog so she chose the car.

Did she ever find somewhere to live, or is she still in the car, all these years later?

Not you garden. A thread about an OP who kept hearing spooky music in her garden, complete with mp3 clip. Went on for a while and then ended with a very odd deletion message along the lines of 'OP has asked for this to be deleted, as has discovered something not so much supernatural but incredibly sad'

Yes, I remember that.

BirthdayRainbow · 11/09/2024 19:32

As always what happened to InShockAndAwe.

jollygreenpea · 11/09/2024 19:36

There was one on dadsnet about a man and his children living with an abusive wife.

Some of the replies he got were shocking, asking him what had he done to make her happy. Completely victim blaming.

I hope he and the children managed to get away, and living a happy and peaceful life.

Theoldcuriosityshop · 11/09/2024 19:40

The mum with the teenage son who had left home and moved in with an older very controlling girlfriend.

Oh yes, I lost that one but did follow it, my heart went out to the mum!

Newsenmum · 11/09/2024 19:43

That girl in Japan with serious mental health issues who was due to give birth :/

slicedcake · 11/09/2024 19:54

The one with pictures of a big nice house for sale on right move but a strange dummy or mannequin sitting at the dining table...

FedUpToTheBackTooth · 11/09/2024 19:56

I would love an update on Birdy Friend.
Also, does anyone remember the thread about the haunted office that was in a converted mill?

SoleToSoulToSeoul · 11/09/2024 19:59

Heh I remember the ironing board. I've always presumed it was creative writing/a bit of fun. I would've liked there to have been a resolution to that one.

Birdy friend predicted the pandemic/lockdown didn't he...

MissEsmeWatson · 11/09/2024 16:03

I still (against my better judgement) want to know about the dreadful Ginny!

I'm as sure as I can be that that one was a tall story. It got more and more outrageous and then the OP disappeared.

Honeypickle · 11/09/2024 20:05

Does anyone have a link to the outcome of the proposal story? Would love to read her update after her thread got completely derailed!

MamaBobo · 11/09/2024 20:06

Please put me out of my misery and fill in a bit of backstory about the ironing board one….I’ve never heard of it till now and it’s even got me wondering!

philippass · 11/09/2024 20:07

What happened to trinityrhino? Mumsnetters visited and helped her out a few years ago.

Builders building somewhere they shouldn't. Someone called Spangran in the mix.

What happened to Amazonian? Ex living in Vietnam or somewhere.

slicedcake · 11/09/2024 20:08

One about women being scared about childbirth historically and someone mentioned the painting ' The Arnolfini marriage" which is thought to be a picture of a husband holding hands with his pregnant wife, who actually died in childbirth. I find it so haunting.

MyOtherCarisAVauxhallZafira · 11/09/2024 20:13

What happened to the woman whose cat had gotten into a neighbour's house, but they weren't living there because it was mid renovation and weren't going to be back for a fortnight or something. At one point she was lobbing bits of ham through a window that was cracked open but not big enough to climb through

Oblahdeeoblahdoe · 11/09/2024 20:14

I often wonder about the teenage son who was being abused and alienated from his family by his GF. I think the poster ( his DM) was in Australia. She was so scared she would lose him. I do hope it's good news

NigelHarmansNewWife · 11/09/2024 20:17

The spooky garden music and the missing ironing board I remember.

There was also a thread (a series of threads I think) about someone living in a flat in a listed conversion and the neighbour put a door in where there was previously only a window - without the correct permissions - which meant the OPs private garden area was now accessed by the other flat. She had a Spanish granny and the bloke who ran the corner shop could see what was going on with the neighbour's building work.

suziequatrosfatnan · 11/09/2024 20:19

All the people who come onto woo threads to hint at some kind of terrifying experience or encounter and either say 'I can't say any more' or 'I might come back on to tell the story if I get some time later' and never do Hmm
