Is there anything you've read on here that's stuck with you, or you'd like to get to the bottom of?
I'd like to know what happened to the two Microsoft laptops which were delivered to a MN's daughter I think a week or two ago?

The lady that got engaged on holiday did post a picture of him proposing in the pool, she was so excited. The couple with the allotment and Babs the squatter did take possession I guess Babs knew when she was beat, this post is now on thread five and has pretty much turned into a gardening thread. I would love to know what happened with the missing clock chains.

The lady who was obsessed with getting a job at marksies, did she get her dream job?! Think this was a few years ago and she was proper harsh on their customer service and stalking the manager.

I remember one where the OP lived quietly in a very remote area and found a mobile phone in the depths of her back garden, where no one would ever go. It stuck with me because I also live remotely and I would freak out if that happened to me. Some of the PPs clearly didn't understand and kept saying things like the postman must have dropped it, when it was nowhere near the path to her front door.

I can't remember the details fully but there was a poster who had gone on holiday to France. I think they witnessed a parent being horrible to their child and the poster stood up for the child, then the parent (or parents?) drove off leaving the child with the poster. I've always wondered what happened to the child and if they were okay.

Same. I think of that every time one of these threads come up. Some really odd deletion message about unfortunately something sinister going on.

For me the biggest mystery is the number of people who respond with "I'll PM you/send you money for...." to a clearly begging post.
I mean, how many people have absolutely no friends or relatives that could help, nothing in the store cupboard no transport to anywhere that can give food , or the local foodbank can't possibly help and just happen to discover that they've no way of feeding their disabled twins and newborn baby late on Saturday night. And suddenly discover MN for the first time, and feel the need to pour their hearts out on it "genuinely not after money, but anything you suggest I can't do".

I mean I assume at least some of those people are reasonable intelligent and would tell their mum/kids/friends not to be so daft if they heard them about to respond to a clear scam.

The lady that works in a London shop and went on a date with one of her customers. There was a big build up where he'd come to her till over lunch times over many posts.
Then she asked advice on what to wear

I want to know about the ironing board and the laptop. Also the women who parked her car blocking the neighbours builder and her son said she’d gone out and wasn’t expected back or something, don’t know if that disappeared or I forgot to look what happened.

Does anyone remember this one, I think it was posted by a male MNetter.
They were puzzled by a net or tarpaulin hung on their tree at the bottom of their garden by the people whose garden backed onto theirs, which was separated by a stream.
Was there a plausible conclusion to that thread if anyone does remember it?!
