Where's the Greek Yogurt gone?

The real stuff not Greek style. Haven't been able to buy it in Aldi for two weeks, tried Asda today, no luck, only Greek style available. Anyone else having trouble finding it?

Brexit will cause this sort of issue with imports from EU countries into the foreseeable future, unfortunately. It will continue to get harder and harder to get EU products and they will be more expensive. People knew this when they voted. 🙄

I saw some in Sainsbury's today.

Bought 6 tubs on offer from Asda, nothing to do with Brexit.

Its the same here…i think people are so into protein (and greek yog is meant to have more protein) that supermarkets just arent stocking as much ordinary yogurt any more..it drives me potty

BridgetJonesBigPants · 10/09/2024 12:55

Regular item in my trolley and no issue finding it for me.

Jubileetime · 10/09/2024 12:58

Plenty here, I have m and s, tesco and fage in my fridge at moment - get through a lot of the stuff. Some seem to blame brexit for everything

MumonabikeE5 · 10/09/2024 12:59

Got plenty in Waitrose.
and M&S.

Chewbecca · 10/09/2024 12:59

I buy it weekly and have not noticed any supply issues in Waitrose, Morrisons or M&S.

minerva7 · 10/09/2024 13:01

Same my usual go to's of Lidl and Asda never seem to have any of late.

M&S is the only place I've had any luck.

MyNamesGaryAndImAddictedToChips · 10/09/2024 13:11

No shortage of Greek yoghurt where I am but there is no Gruyere anywhere!

MissyB1 · 10/09/2024 13:19

OK will have to make a trip to Waitrose or M&S. Yes I eat it for the protein and calcium. It's weird how some supermarkets suddenly don't have items in stock for a few weeks, Aldi seem to suffer from that a lot. And I stopped shopping at Asda because their shelves were often empty.

Bought 2 tubs in lidl yesterday. No shortages here

buzzing · 10/09/2024 13:25

Agree that I haven't found it in Aldi for weeks.... they do seem to do this from time to time, often before the packaging changes. I assume they've had a supplier change in the background. It is very annoying.

Forgottenmyphone · 10/09/2024 13:34

Look out for this one in sainsburys www.sainsburys.co.uk/gol-ui/product/sainsburys-greek-yogurt--taste-the-difference-500g

BIWI · 10/09/2024 13:36

I haven't been able to buy anything other than the 0% fat one in Aldi, for the last two weeks.

Got the last pot of 10% Taste the Difference one at Sainsbury's yesterday though.

Alapotin · 10/09/2024 13:41

I buy Fage every week from Waitrose, does that count as Greek yoghurt, I also recently got it in a Tesco delivery

Sometimesnot · 10/09/2024 13:44

I always get Greek yogurt from my local Turkish grocer. Great quality and no shortage

ThatsNotMyTeen · 10/09/2024 13:45

I’ve got it from Morrisons and Sainsbury’s recently. Also saw it in M and S

SpiderGwen · 10/09/2024 13:46

Can't you just get the normal stuff and drain it? I

stick it in a sieve with a muslin if I can't find Greek yogurt. The only difference is that 'regular' yogurt hasn't strained more of the whey out, so has more lactose and less protein by volume than the Greek stuff.

MillyMollyMandHey · 10/09/2024 13:47

Just got some in M&S, they had loads.

Nothing to do with brexit

SardineJam · 10/09/2024 13:50

Yep, bought some in Waitrose this weekend

longdistanceclaraclara · 10/09/2024 13:51

I bought some fage this morning in Tesco.

DrivingThePlot · 10/09/2024 13:52

Just had some in my shopping from Sainsburys this morning.

Starlight1979 · 10/09/2024 14:08

I stopped buying Greek yoghurt when we discovered Fage on holiday in Greece this year - a million times better than any of the others!
