morrisons is the best supermarket

Freshest food/best quality, more variety, more affordable, best hot food and salad, best in shopping experience, best checkout, best/most expensive looking marketing, best bags, best cafe, arguably best checkouts, the best range is far superior to anything else sold by other supermarkets or other private brands and its the best value too

To be fair their wine selection is always praised highly.

Last Christmas they probably had the biggest poinsettias, but maybe it was the angle of the display rack 👀

Um… that’s it

dawngreen · 06/09/2024 22:02

I read some where that morrisons are getting rid of the self service tills. I don't remember where I read it though. I don't like the loyalty scheme any more it seems to not give me much these days being single again. A lot of staff are unhappy with pay these days. Some staff are really helpful, and talkative.

Freshly assembled from processed ingredients does not mean fresh!

I know what fresh means. Look it up in dictionary, you never know they may have just used a picture of the morrison logo under "definition"

I shop in Morrisons. I get 15% discount and it's walking distance from home.

If staff seem miserable it's because they are hugely understaffed. Every time there is a pay rise hours are cut to keep the wage bill the same.

I worked in the home delivery department at our store. I used to get my shopping delivered by Tesco 🤣🤣 would never have a Morrisons delivery the organisation is piss poor frankly.

Husband and daughter still work there because there isn't a lot of choice locally. Tbh it's better than Asda but that's as far as I will go 🤣🤣

Delivery is now ocado where I live and is so much better than tesco, sainsburys or asda for substitutions

I like their online shopping. It's hands down the most reliable. No substitutions ever. I've also been really disappointed on the shelf life of fruit and veg in other stores compared to morrisons.
The cafe is good, but not as good as pre covid. They use to do the best cheese toasties. Hand made with a mix of cheddar and red Leicester with butter on the outsides so it toasted deliciously.
Salad bar and deli is the best out of all supermarkets so I would tend to agree.
Also the staff in mine have been there forever and are super friendly. Offered to help me pack and take the shopping to the car when I had my newborn with me

Hi may I recommend consuming fruit the same day you buy it.

we don’t have Morrisons or Aldi.

😂😂
page one of the reviews:

2 one star - “the worst ready meal I’ve ever had”
2 two star - “tasteless and watery”
1 three star - “serious lack of chicken”
1 five star, presumably either you or Ken himself rubbishing the other reviews

Who cares about substitutions. Just go and do a in store shop. I would recommend morrisons, nothing quite like a lovely walk around morrisons.

Morrisons used to be my favourite shop. When I moved to this town it had absolutely loads of fresh fruit and veg with sprays of mist in the fridges, it looked lovely and was always very fresh.

Now it’s grim, there are always empty shelves and it’s generally unkempt. I have also found stuff months out of date and once I mistakenly bought a mozzarella that had expired three months previously. I picked up a watermelon in the summer and my finger went through it.

Hi that's not the full picture of their reviews they don't get reviews on their site only around 1 a year per product because their only shopping is done through amazon. If you go on amazon you will see their products have an average of 9,000 reviews rated 5 stars.

I am getting shades of Aidan and steak cut chips here.

Me too, seems as though OP has changed allegiance 🤔

I agree OP! Have shopped in Morrisons my whole adult life (mainly because there's a big one near me) but have tried lots of others thinking it was just the familularity of it I liked but no Morrisons is definitely best!

I know, why some people just want to be awkward for the sake of it and refused to admit is beyond me

Because you are incorrect.

Anyone else getting ChatGPT vibes?!

I rate their online grocery shopping app more than Tesco or Sainsbury's. They also have the best customer service, I can contact them via telephone or email within minutes. I wish they had more range in their stores however and stocked products like the full range of Heck and Crosta Mollica wraps. I do like that they stock longley farm cottage cheese as I've not seen that in other stores.

They are removing some of years self serve tills as even they admit they went too far.

Morrisons isn't everyone's cup of tea. I like some stores but not all stores. Staff vary, We've been to one in Skipton today and the staff were brilliant, the young lads filling shelves were bantering with my mum who's over 80, it was all very respectful banter.

I love the new loyalty scheme but might have something to do with my rewards clocking up to £60 today. We got a new soup maker for £29 on Monday.

Singleandproud · 06/09/2024 22:13

@BoldRubyPoet actually you may be Morrisons #1 (deluded) fan but you don't have the insider knowledge you think you do.

Morrisons are getting rid of many of their self service tills and returning to majority of staffed normal tilla because customer feedback is that they prefer them, and to cut down on the massive amount of shoplifting carried out through self service.
