If you were only allowed one type of biscuit FOREVER … which would you choose?

I haven’t seen a Mumsnet biscuit for a while - remember those? Anyway, they don’t count because they are virtual. And they look like jammy dodgers. Biscuit

And I don’t want any bun (or biscuit) fights about the status of the jaffa. Choose it if you must you heathen.

My vote is for the chocolate digestive. So satisfying. I just ate three with my afternoon coffee. 😋

Although, back in my gaming days, I could cheerfully polish off a whole packet of fig rolls in an evening. Didn't realise that was 650+ calories 😃

Does anyone remember Crawford jam rings? Not sure if they were just available in Scotland. Can't buy them any more and no other jam ring type biscuit comes close for me.

dizzydizzydizzy · 25/08/2024 21:45

Pleaee can I have my DCs' homemade chocolate cookies?

rurbane · 25/08/2024 21:50

Oaties. Any brand or homemade. Love them.

JulesJules · 25/08/2024 21:53

Oh yes Cafe Noir! I'm up to four biscuits now haha

Peasnbeans · 25/08/2024 21:58

Bourbon, if it's forever, as I could peel it and make it seem different ~am I overthinking this~

Curlygirl06 · 25/08/2024 21:59

This is a subject dear to my heart and I have many conversations with my grandson on this matter. I love all biscuits apart from anything oaty, are Hobnobs oaty, cos I don't like them.
However, after much thought and discussion, the best biscuit would be a jammy dodger, but made with shortbread and on the underside covered in dark chocolate. That covers all eventualities methinks. If I can't have that, then dark chocolate digestive, followed by shortbread (try the Waitrose mixed box of shortbread, available all year round) then jammy dodgers.
I think.

IDontWantToWaitAnyMore · 25/08/2024 23:28

Oat flips

FluffBomb · 25/08/2024 23:30

Shortbread or custard creams

HerRoyalNotness · 25/08/2024 23:30

I’d choose Tim Tams
DS1 snickerdoodles
DS2 chocolate chip
DD chocolate fingers
Then I’d have to direct H to choose shortbread

We’d be golden with that selection

Inlaw · 25/08/2024 23:31

Ooo tricky. I don’t feel like I have eaten enough biscuits to decide

1dayatatime · 26/08/2024 00:20

How can it be anything other than Chocolate Hob Nobs?

Nat6999 · 26/08/2024 01:14

Custard creams

AtomHeartMotherOfGod · 26/08/2024 02:48

Borders dark chocolate ginger biscuits. Or maybe their dark chocolate raspberry... it's such a hard choice! Ginger may edge it as I could use them better in cheesecake or fridge cakes.

Losing shortbread and Dove's Farm digestives is a hard blow though. I'm considering crackers are still fair game, so I'd not have to worry about what to have with cheese.

BeatsAntique · 26/08/2024 05:46

Border dark chocolate ginger biscuits!

@AtomHeartMotherOfGod I posted this from the first post. Truly, didn’t see yours until after! We have excellent taste in biscuits.

YellowAsteroid · 26/08/2024 06:01

TimTams (the original, not the latest gussied up ones).

usernother · 26/08/2024 06:03

The chocolate covered bourbon ones from M&S.
