Small but weirdly pleasing things.

We all love popping the lid on a jar of coffee, hot chocolate or similar thing. And everybody enjoyed the feeling of running a nail down the silvery finger crevice of a Kit Kat. What other things are there that bring small strange joy?

I love driving down a motorway or duel carriageway and having my side of the road go off on it's own away from the other half. "See you later Southbound losers!". It feels slightly adventurous.

Walking barefoot on silky sand just as the next icy cold wave washes over it.

Double yolkers, jet washing, squeezing spots, throwing something into a container from an ambitious distance and it actually going in 🤩

Ooh and watching a bee going about its bee business, brings me so much joy

Or mine today spotting my Monsteras first fenestrated leaf! I've raised it from a tiny little thing from Morrisons and for the last nearly 2 years I've excitedly checked every leaf. I may have squealed and fetched everyone to see it.

When my dog has been outside baking in the sun and comes in, all toasty and smelling like sunshine, to give me a cuddle.

Sheets fresh from drying on the line - nothing smells better.

Opening a new packet of ground coffee, again smells delicious.

Out in the country, away from the lights, when the sky is dark and velvety. Or a gorgeous full moon.

The bird song on a quiet country morning.

Coming home from holiday or a night away, making a cup of tea and feeling cozy on the sofa.

hearing my boys playfighting in their room, even though they should be in bed after I've got them back from custody with exh.

An evening cup of tea when the kids are in bed, it’s dark outside and watching something cosy on the tv. Ultimate bliss.

Walking home in the evening in winter - in town, so not completely dark, but seeing the stars & planes in the night sky. Extra bonus if I get the smell of woodsmoke.

Love going to the gym and the electric barrier to get in and out the car park is broken and upright.

So I don't have to lean out the window and use my card to get out the car park.

I don't know why, but it just gives me such joy!
