How annoying do you find wind chimes?

I mean there are worse sounds of course. But it seems so invasive of all your neighbours' environments to impose so much sound on everyone else.

I would not dream of doing it. But my neighbours' chimes are dinging away all day today as there's a breeze.

I could say something of course but it just feels that it will be hugely resented. She is a bit scary and I want to keep relations positive.

I love them, they don't bother me at all.

I have no objection to them at all.

I love them. We have some but we only hang them up when we are chilling outside on a sunny day. I doubt anyone else can hear them over the traffic, sirens, tuk tuks blaring music, parakeets screeching, people shouting, idiots revving their engines, backfiring and beeping horns that are the usual background noise here 24/7. It’s the middle of the night and, apart from the parakeets, who are sleeping, I can hear all of those things. Add in school kids in the playground several times a day too.

I don’t see the point of them at all !!

I find the noise really irritating. I don't hate noise and like the noise or the sea or the wind in the trees but wind chimes are a tinkly fake noise. I really hate dog barking too. Why people think it's ok to let their dogs bark and bark or let them bark early in the morning is beyond me.

I love wind chimes. I have three of them, but they aren't very noisy. I see it as transactional. I put up with their much more infuriating noise and they can put up with mine (they started it, so gave me implied permission, so to speak). It would actually make my day if I knew they drove them nuts.
