My sister has brought me some Eccles cakes, absolutely delicious!

I had chicken parmo when we were on holiday in Yorkshire (Pickering). It was so nice! Nearly finished me off though .

I also had one in the pub earlier this year, when I was in Durham. I love them!

I have never eaten them, my Dad, Husband and daughter love them with fresh bread.

When you go to certain pubs (more old fashioned) the fish man comes round with prawns, crab, cockles, winkles and jellied eels on a Friday night.

Lucky I have only been in a pub like that a couple of times.

Halsall · 11/08/2024 17:59

We used to have potato scallops when I was a kid. But I’m from the North-West. Gosh, they were delicious….

StoatofDisarray · 11/08/2024 17:59

Fish and chips, pie and mash, gin, Scotch eggs, beer, inc. porter (Guinness).

We have lots of vineyards around here, I enjoy this regional food group a lot.

I see a few other Geordies have already commented, but I'm going to add:

Monkeys blood on ice cream

I only recently found out that's a northern thing after asking for monkeys blood in the south and being looked at in horror by the ice cream man Grin
