Brighton - Less than 10 anti-immigration 'protesters' and about 1,500 counter-protesters with more arriving all the time. Jazz band playing. No violence observed or reported. A couple of buses had to stop for a few minutes to get through the crowd.

Hastings likewise - a handful of anti-immigrationists, and hundreds of counter protesters, chanting "say it loud, say it clear, refugees are welcome here".

@Comedycook it's like everyone on this thread has forgotten the last six months. Or indeed the recent fucking weird "free Palestine" mob showing up at fiddler on the roof. Or the "antifa" people saying they want no Zionists in Finchley. Or indeed the many hundreds of people targeting Jews and Jewish businesses in this country and holding them responsible for Israeli policies.

No anti immigration protests to be seen in Bristol. A large peaceful gathering of people showed up to protect the immigration centre from an attack which never came.

I think you'll find like with the battle for Cable Street the Left always have the back of the oppressed and continue to do so. Facism will never be tolerated. Right now it is Muslims who are under attack and being targetted, do you not agree, so people are targetting their defence of them. Defending Muslims surely cannot be interpretted as anti-semitism?

But the list at the weekend which afaik was 'genuine' also contained places where 'protests' pretty clearly would be likely to be matched or outnumbered by counter protesters.
So I think it's more likely miscalculation by people trying to stir up trouble in Britain who don't understand the country.

You seem to be missing the fact that a lot of Jewish people on this thread are pointing out that we are also under attack, and have been for a very long time.

Literally no one is saying Muslims shouldn't be protected or that it constitutes antisemitism 🙄 We're just wondering why no one ever bothers standing up for us and protecting us as well.

Immigrant healthcare professionals do not come over in dinghies, they apply for work permits and are welcomed in with open arms. Any western country would accept doctors or dentists. Also, if refugees are fleeing their homelands to save their lives, I think they are pretty safe in France. No need to risk their lives further by boarding a rubber boat and sailing across the channel.

Well they certainly don’t know much about Brighton! Of all the places in the world where that would go down like a bucket of cold sick, Brighton has to be near the top.

And no doubt some of the anti immigration protesters complain that they can't get a hospital appointment due to lack of NHS staff or that their bus doesn't turn up due to lack of drivers.

the truth is that probably those that are illegal won’t be going to the doctor much as they don’t want to be tracked so when they’re ill they stay at home that are sharing with many more in the same condition as them . Unlike myself who came to this country in a plane and when I’m ill I might go to the doctor (not always) and have a house for myself and my husband.

We actually left interpreters and professionals who risked their lives to help our forces in Afghanistan over there! They have no visas and are terrified in Afghanistan - they are still fighting for us to honour our promise to them and their families.
As for our immigrant healthcare professionals being welcomed with open arms - you need to read different newspapers. Besides these rioting thugs are not asking if the people they are attacking worked for the NHS before they brick them!

This feels a lot like when the BBC reported on a non-existent petrol shortage, and then the whole country went mental and actually caused a real shortage.

I didn't hear much scepticism over the validity of this list, and no verification of whether it was fake news or not.

I'm glad that we haven't had any more violence or destruction, but locally a lot of businesses have lost money from shutting early, boarding up their premises and having events cancelled.

Of course Jewish people should be defended if they are being attacked. But people waving Palestinian flags aren't attacking Jewish people and the neo Nazis saluting in the street are at present attacking Muslim people and targetting mosques so that's why Muslims are getting the visible support.
