Almost as if social media has been beseiged by fake accounts to provoke people.

They're bloody sore losers aren't they? Silenced but vocal. Minimised but obvious. Offensive to many but sensitive to any perceived insult themselves. No one should doubt their sincerity. Be kind.

It's a well known military statistic that when you have PoWs, if you can isolate the 5% of trouble makers the other 95% are easy to handle.

I think there is definetly a large amount of fake accounts on here and X especially. But i do also think there are just some really awful people on here too, i see it on other parts being bigoted and they are consistently awful.

Based on a turn out of 60% that’s the % of the electorate that votes reform, by my calculation yesterday.

MN brought in some measures that meant you couldn't namechange within one thread. But if I remember correctly, you could override it on the app or mobile site or something, not sure.

I just wonder if that is what is happening... countless people namechanging continually to post vile stuff.

I think the issue might be assuming that people are posting in good faith when we’re in a situation where we know people posting not in good faith is part of a weapon of disinformation.

Hopefully inciting racial hatred on MN will be treated the same as inciting hatred on other social media. I've read today of a Facebook poster being arrested.

I would take it in my stride but DS2 has just gone out with his carer on his regulation walk to the city centre and back. I had to call her to try to divert him. Poor lady is going to end up with bust eardrums!
