My mum was in Liverpool earlier and it was fairly calm but the Pier Head was closed so they had to get the train home - she said protesters were there but it was not kicking off - shame if it is now - she didn't stay as they wanted to walk down the prom with an ice cream - way to fight fascism mum! (to be fair she's done 60+ year of it so she's allowed a day off).

The Mallies I see are usually with people who keep firm control of them @Apolloneuro , presumably for protection work etc. The exception was one that bombed up to us in the woods and I just admit I felt a bit wary…..but then she skidded to a halt at our feet, completely ignoring our then puppy and SMILED at us! A full on happy grin Her owner apologised and said she was very people-oriented. I did discreetly check what breed she was ad she was and it was full Malinois. If I could guarantee one like her I’d consider it, but they tend to be more reserved, One Person dogs.

I'm glad the far right protests are little more than a damp squib in most places and James Cleverly can, as said before, go fuck himself. it was 3 non local people who turned up. no one local showed! i imagine that was down to the large police presence since early doors this morning (im right in the centre) they will have kept anyone known for causing trouble out of the city centre. the 3 who did turn up soon left complaining about donny lads not being reliable for anything!

Here's a pic of my cat who died last year at the grand age of 16. I love this photo because she had so much attitude. Her nickname was Fatcat because she was terribly overweight (6kg!) when we got her from Cat Rescue along with her sister-cat, Blanket. Clue: she'd been eating her food and Blanket's food too - she was proper miffed when we started feeding them separately.

My boy is obviously a good boy. Apart from a habit of stealing food when given even a moment of opportunity. But he’s a big loving softy. Although his bark scares off anyone who may want to be a bit naughty.

Public service announcement (from the 1950s, sadly)

We had a cat who sat like that @Willowkins , he was also rather overweight and not blessed with many braincells. We called him the Woolly Monkey because that’s what he looked like. Suspect he sucked in his cheeks and begged for food locally because we kept him on a strict diet. He certainly didn’t get his extra calories from hunting anything.

If a sticker had that razor behind it, it wouldn’t sit flat. So don’t pick off the bumpy stickers, people!
