Amazon Prime Day - what are you buying?

I love a bargain and regularly wait for Prime Day in order to see if something that's been in my Amazon basket for a while, drops in price. What are you buying this Prime Day week?

Does anyone know if the Cricut mug press starter kit is a good deal at £170? The link when you put it into camelcamelcamel comes up with a kids doctor play set! Daughter only just got a Cricut and so not au fait with the prices yet....

I need some birdwatching binoculars (Celestron)

Lego (the Japanese flowers type)

Smart watch

Fingers crossed

Best bargain I ever got was on binoculars on Amazon. I bought some Nikon 10x25 binoculars that were logo'd with an event that had finished. They cost me £30, whereas brand new they were £125! All for an out of date logo.

They still sell the same ones now for £99.

I will have to look at the lego. I have the orchid one and some flowers that I've put in a vase and people don't realise are lego. There's another set of those that I want too.

I also want to look at Smart Watches.

Either you and I are the same person, or we should really be friends! 😂

Reform voter?

Actually, I didn't get naturalized yet, so no voting in GE atm.
But you nailed it, I would be an eager Reform voter!

Nope, a good dose of concentrated steam and it deals with heavily creased cotton well.

Does steaming help remove odours? I have curtains in the kitchen that the last owners fitted and like to freshen the up but dry cleaning will cost me a fortune

thesugarbumfairy · 16/07/2024 11:21

I bought a tile tracker for my H's wallet. I was going to buy one anyway so I waited till this morning as it was about 30% cheaper. So far I haven't see anything else I want on offer.

Whatevershallidowithmylife · 16/07/2024 11:26

Yu Move
Kettle
Knives
stuff I need so will see if any good deals

SpicyNoodleSoup · 16/07/2024 11:26

For anyone looking at an air fryer. I saw the tefal one heavily discounted on prime down to £99 but on googling it, Argos are matching the price plus an extra 20% off so got it for £76!!

WiseBiscuit · 16/07/2024 11:33

A Plancha

Very popular in Spain, we prefer to BBQ

CandidHedgehog · 16/07/2024 11:42

Some more Osprey packing cubes. I have some already but bought some more.

Fizbosshoes · 16/07/2024 11:49

I bought my favourite perfume, it wasn't listed as an offer but seemed a better price than I've seen elsewhere
(And I've completely run out of my fave and nearly run out my other perfume, so it's not buying on a whim)

frecklejuice · 16/07/2024 11:50

I could do with some nice crafty bits to keep my 10 year old dd occupied over the summer and off of the iPad so if anyone has any recommendations that would be great.

Other than that dishwasher tablets and a rash vest for dd for holiday!

CandidHedgehog · 16/07/2024 11:51

Also 4 apple air tags for £89 (down from £119).

godmum56 · 16/07/2024 11:53

I love a smart plug. I live alone so have got at least one smart plugged lamp in each room in the house. Can turn lights on and off from anywhere so in winter can come home to a lit house, and one command will light up the whole house. Additionally I can walk into a room with my hands full and put a light on, especially useful in the kitchen. they work out cheaper than smart lightbulbs for wired in lights. Also got fans on smart plugs. For security also my auto garage doors are on smart plugs so I can turn off the power to them. apparently its not difficult to clone the older remotes. lastly they are a godsend if you have got hard to access sockets.

Any recommendations for coffee machines that take the pods? I like the Lidl pods, but can't figure out which machine they are compatible with?

LondonBagpuss · 16/07/2024 11:57

Bondi Sands Gold fake tan, normally pay £15 it's £8 today Smile

Edited

Smart plugs and lightbulbs are a revelation.

I have my electric blanket plugged into one so that I can turn it on for me coming home, especially from a nightshift in the colder months. It's amazing.

Hi everyone! Apologies for jumping onto this thread but we were wondering if it'd be helpful for everyone if we were to help you find what you're looking for?

We do have a dedicated Prime Day thread going on at the moment, but @HesGotHisTrombolyse has beat us to the punch and there's a lot of requests on here already that we could help with 💐

It looks like a decent price but it only does mugs. I looked at one, have also got a cutter but a Scan n cut, and decided against it on the basis of how many mugs do I actually want and how many can I use as gifts? Additionally the consumables are not cheap, sorry its probs not what you want to hear.

mummydoris2006 · 16/07/2024 12:04

@godmum56 I don't live alone but am always the first home. It makes such a huge difference to come home to a light on in the darker months doesn't it? We have the smart lightbulbs and just pulling on to the drive to a house not in complete darkness is so much more welcoming!

One of my friends has one of these and I had no idea they were so expensive! You could buy some seriously nice mugs for £170 so unless it’s for a business and you’d hope to make a return this seems a bit mad?!

JurassicClark · 16/07/2024 12:09

MoneySavingExpert reckons the GHD straighteners are a proper bargain, so I've given in and bought a set for DD for her A-Level results day.

She's had basic straighteners for 4 years but borrowed her friend's GHD ones for Prom and her hair looked amazing.

JMAngel1 · 16/07/2024 12:25

Looking for coffee pods and Hado Labo serum. Tempted by those wondermask lip stains as reduced but can’t decide on a shade.

DeathMetalMum · 16/07/2024 12:39

Anyone who could critique my laptop choice? Basically being used for schoolwork for dd2. However occasionally used by myself or dp for courses or online webinairs.
