💅 BEAUTY DEALS 💇‍♀️

When it comes to style and beauty essentials, Mumsnet users know exactly what works (and what doesn’t). It’s no surprise then, that our dedicated style and beauty forum is one of our busiest on the Talk boards. It’s filled with recommendations on the best beauty and fashion products that our users actually love and use themselves.

So, for those of you on the hunt for a new holy grail to treat yourself with, here are the best deals we’ve spied across style and beauty for Prime Day this year…

Mumsnet users’ top beauty buys
Last year’s TOP purchase by MNers was the Biotin Hair Growth Supplements. Sadly, it doesn’t look like there’s huge savings to be had this year (£10 for 400 tablets) but if you do buy multiple, you can save 5% on two, 7% on three, or 10% on six.

Otherwise, here are the bargains we have found for you:

/ Save £70 on the Revlon One-Step Volumiser Plus, the 2in1 hair dryer and styling tool that Mumsnet users love - was £70, now £38

/ Whenever we share Elizabeth Arden’s 8 hour cream, you lot go mad for it! Try it yourself or stock up if you’re already a fan - was £28, now £13 (save £15)

/ Get your own Hangsun Light Therapy Acne Treatment LED Mask for less this Prime Day - was £55, now £35

/ Also from Hangsun, this cordless Water Flosser is down to £20!

/ The BaByliss Rose Quartz Conical Curling Wand is included in this year’s sales - was £40, and is now just £27 (save £13!)

/ For those of you searching for collagen powder, this deal on The Intelligent Health Store’s hydrolysed collagen powder might be of interest (was £27, now £16)

/ And finally, for when the sun decides to show its face, keep a gaiatop Mini Portable Fan nearby to keep sweaty upper lips at bay. Was £13, now £10.

Heading away this summer? You might be interested in these ☀️

Is there anything in particular beauty-wise that you’re searching for? Let us know and we’ll take a look for you!

I'm not sure if we are allowed to post, Mumsnet this is a fabulous thread to find.

We are looking for a laptop for my son to take to university. He will be a mature student. I have no idea on tech.

It doesn't need to support gaming.

Any links really appreciated.

Good morning @MrsLeonFarrell - happy to help! And yes absolutely, posting is encouraged.

Here are a few deals we've spotted on laptops:

Lenovo IdeaPad Duet 3 11 (combines convenience of a tablet with laptop features so he can work/study on the go) - was £290, now £170

Or there's this one that's higher? But it's bigger and closer to your traditional laptop setup: Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 14 inch Full HD Laptop (this has 4.5 stars on Amazon!)

Alternatively if your son likes HP, the HP Stream 14 is discounted, was £250, now £150 (I'm personally a HP fan so would recommend this one).

Hopefully that helps? If not, let me know your budget and I can take another look for you.

Well, in that case @MrsLeonFarrell I'd like to share this one with you - HP Envy x360 15.6. It's usually £1000 but for Prime Day they've brought it down to £600... For longevity I'd recommend this one.

Plus, as it's a 2 in 1, your son can use it as a laptop, a tablet, for drawing, gaming (even though I know you said that's not a requirement...), and also watching his favourite shows/movies as it can stand up in a tent position for hands-free viewing.

I'm looking for an android tablet. Possibly a moon on a stick, as ideally I don't want to spent a fortune, but I'd like decent processing and storage. It's for an older primary school child. (They are changing to online homework in preparation for secondary)
I'd be eternally grateful if you can help. I'm a dinosaur, and don't even have a tablet myself.

Whether you’re pregnant, due to pop any day, or navigating those earliest weeks - fuelled by coffee and lots of under eye concealer - the shopping list when it comes to kids is neverending. So, understandably, when sales like Amazon Prime Day come up, it’s a great opportunity to get what you need for less.

Here are the deals that we’ve found on products we know Mumsnet users love:

Hi @anon666 There aren't many integrated or vented tumble dryer deals in the Prime Day sale that I can see at the moment, especially budget-friendly options.

I have found these 2 vented dryers. Both are compact with a 2.5kg capacity for smaller loads. Not your typical brands (and mini versions might not be what you're after), but they get good reviews, so sharing in case you want to check them out:

Cookology CMVD25WH Mini Vented Tumble Dryer, from £127
Willow WTD25S 2.5kg Compact Vented Dryer, £126

I'll keep my eye out if I see anything else today!

Pots and pans set

Hey @oneplustwoplustwoplusone Not sure of your budget but I've spied a couple of deals. Prices over time seem to vary for quite a few of the cheaper sets (and aren't necessarily the cheapest they've been recently), so these might work instead:

CAROTE Nonstick Pots and Pans Set - looks to be lowest price it's ever been. £76 (was £110)

Ninja Extended Life 5-Piece Ceramic Cookware Set, £150 (was £210)

Let me know if any good😀

Good question @anon666! Do you already have the S pen or are you in need of one?

I ask only because both the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra (was £1,349, now £949) and the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 (was £799, now £629) both have the S pen included.
