What’s your favourite cocktail?

Just for fun. Dd and I are slowly working our way through some popular ones but our favourite so far has got to be the humble spicy margarita.
Also do you have any superb recipes for them? This evening we made mint juleps and caipirinha and both we okay.
i bought good quality spirits, not cheap ones but there is definitely an art to mixology!!

Long Island Ice tea or an espresso martini or a margarita (spicy or strawberry if frozen). Can't stand a mojito I think it tastes like toothpaste 😂

I love a classic Pina Colada.

Second favourites are a Pornstar Martini or an Expresso Martini.

Generally though I pretty much like any cocktail that's on offer. 😁

Quite like a cosmopolitan. Though the Jamaican mojito I'm enjoying now is delish!

French 75!

Spicy Margarita, with a caveat. The one I had at Pho was AMAZING but subsequent ones have had something else in and it's made it sweet. Nice but not AMAZING.

I'm a Long Island Iced Tea girl as a rule, but had a variation at Turtle Bay recently called Island Ice Blast,
Duppy White, gin, vodka, tequila, triple sec, blue curacao, dragon fruit, lemon, & lemonade

French martini

negroni, spicy margarita and a bog standard dry martini with 3 olives

Good old fashioned Harvey Wallbanger, could drink it to the cows come home as the expression goes .

Strawberry or raspberry daiquiri make a lovely summery drink, I also like a Pimms.
In the winter I tend to stick with the classics like champagne cocktail or Negroni.

Negroni sbagliato - let me check what's in it. Always order it. Had a cosmopolitan when I saw SJP in plaza suite and didn't love it.

Oh yes! A frozen strawberry daiquiri on a hot day is chefs kiss

Gin fizz

A really well made negroni or old fashioned. Both are things of beauty

A really good pornstar martini or espresso martini (no fake syrups!!)

Also partial to a cosmopolitan

Wine instead of gin. Makes sense I don't love gin.

Long Island Ice Tea - a group of 12 of us went to New York for a friends wedding about 10 years ago, all of us newly weds and childfree, and spent a wonderful few hours drinking them at The Boat House in Central Park. It’s one of my favourite memories of that trip.

If anyone has any tips for homemade margaritas please let me know, I’ve never quite managed to get the balance right. I’ve been using fresh limes but like them quite tangy, starting to think I should buy a bottle of margarita mix like cheap bars use and add my own tequila!

A proper, old school Martini (and also once had a cucumber one which made me drunk for a week!)

Seems I like serious booze.

I've never in my life had a cocktail! I wouldn't have a clue what to ask for or what I might like, so whenever I find myself in a pub I always just have carbonated water to drink. I know where I am with that! 😂
