How many holidays do you go on per year?

OP posts:

One- for a week.

Changingplace · 05/07/2024 18:35

This year I’ve been on a weeks holiday to the USA, a long weekend in Europe, I have another long weekend in Europe later in the year, and a week in the UK.

OttersAreMySpiritAnimal · 05/07/2024 18:36

None. Can't afford it.

Dontliketheheat · 05/07/2024 18:37

A week in Europe at Easter and two weeks self catering in the UK in the summer holidays

Thatsfrenchforstopahorse · 05/07/2024 18:39

2 or 3.

Nicflowers82 · 05/07/2024 18:39

2 holidays abroad and two or three weekends away either in uk or Europe.

IDontHateRainbows · 05/07/2024 18:39

Two festivals, one three night seaside trip.

I'd rather do several small trips than one big

ItmeansIdontcare · 05/07/2024 18:39

None.

BouleDeSuif · 05/07/2024 18:43

One- a fortnight at a family members house. They live in a place that I cannot stand but the child likes it, and it's free, so I suck it up.

CissOff · 05/07/2024 18:44

I think I average about 3 ‘proper’ holidays (those that don’t involve our family caravan, basically).

Last year it was a 2 week summer holiday, a week in November and then a week over Christmas.

This year it’ll be a week over May half term, 2 weeks in the summer and a week in September/October.

I realise we are very lucky.

Juyjuly32 · 05/07/2024 18:44

1/2 holidays per year.

thirdistheonewiththehairychest · 05/07/2024 18:45

I'd say 0.5

Lemonademoney · 05/07/2024 18:45

A week in the U.K. and a week abroad. We sometimes do a one nighter away too in the U.K.

WiseBiscuit · 05/07/2024 18:51

None usually, maybe one every 4-5 years.

PanicAttax · 05/07/2024 18:55

None this year. Did a few last year but not up for it this year - want a relaxing one at home saving £££

Newtrix · 05/07/2024 20:24

3 week long UK holidays, 1 or 2 lomg weekends and a handful of nights away. We could afford to go abroad on holiday buy prefer the UK

Wrapunzel · 05/07/2024 20:39

Three abroad this year, two for a week each and a long weekend.

RaininSummer · 05/07/2024 20:40

None most years. Had three days away this year and 2 visiting daughter.

Not enough !!!!

Bohomovies · 05/07/2024 20:42

We usually have two or three short trips (a week max). These are usually Airbnb, camper van or staying with friends.

Mainoo72 · 05/07/2024 20:42

4 or 5 usually.

Sallysoup · 05/07/2024 20:44

Normally 1 or 2 for a week or 10 days, this year we've done 4/5 nights each time and will do 5 total. It's easier to book time off and organise pet sitters for long weekends and it's been nice to do some city trips.

Crunchymum · 05/07/2024 20:45

Two. Both in the UK.

2 weeks in the summer and usually a week for October half term.

Rent a cottage on the coast. Get it cheap and that's the only reason we can afford it.

BeyondMyWits · 05/07/2024 20:46

2 nights in a holiday inn this year. Travelling to a wedding, so one day then night for the happy couple... one day/night/day for us...

bananamum13 · 05/07/2024 20:48

Does it include nights away in a hotel?
If so, we have had our honeymoon so doesn't really count, we have a weekend booked camping, a week in the UK with pil and then 3 nights away in Sept and then quite a few 'weekends' which is a night in a Premier Inn or similar
