Absolutely happy to pay more tax to improve public services thanks.

Where in their manifesto does it say they’re opening up the boarders? It doesn’t, does it? You made that up, didn’t you?

Wait til they raid your pension. Just like Labour did last time they were in government and left my dad worse off. Oh and who sold the gold at rock bottom price? Who left a memo saying ‘There is no money’? Where did the money go??

Tracker1234 · 04/07/2024 22:28

They bloody have Sturgeon on Channel 4 panel..

Sour grapes. Magnanimous in defeat.

LadyWhistled0wn · 04/07/2024 22:28

All this it'll be worse under labour crap.

Yes Blair started a pointless fucking war due to George Bush, but they did so much GOOD.

They borrowed a HELL of a lot less than the tories have done in the past 14 years, the nhs waiting lists were fuck all. The schools were better. Etc etc.

It's like you've all been asleep for the past 14 years.

Reform are fascists. Fascists getting seats is chilling. They barely even ran a campaign but they've got 13 seats.

Edited

I dislike Reform, and voted Labour. But clearly plenty of people supported Reform to give them 13 seats. Just be glad it wasn't more. There needs to be a little bit of opposition to what will be a left wing majority in Westminster. This whole country is controlled too much by the left - especially media/social media/TV/news/radio etc. There needs to be an opposition. A ying to the yang.

Parliament will certainly be interesting from now on with 13 Reform MPs!

I am SUPER CHUFFED that Labour have won by the way. Smile

Really....? Hmm

What? Poster is grammatically incorrect and politically misinformed.

I think the poster just swallowed a load of lies they were told and believed every word. Just put the Daily Mail down a minute, and count the Tory immigration numbers.

LadyWhistled0wn · 04/07/2024 22:29

@ALT72 they still did better than Liz Truss did in her 40 days of power loosing this country BILLIONS.

Summerflames · 04/07/2024 22:30

Err..... not sure that's true when you look who owns the media....

Squidlette · 04/07/2024 22:30

Have we got the Russian bots on again?. Some odd posting styles. But anyway, bit late now. It'll be like Brexit where every time a Remainer expressed unhappiness, we were told to just accept the result. Will of the majority etc

whynotwhatknot · 04/07/2024 22:30

nadine is spitting fuking twat

Lilacapples · 04/07/2024 22:30

I didn’t vote Labour and most people I’ve spoken to didn’t but reading here and on other social media I cannot see them not winning. I honestly think it will be a big victory for them.

lavenderlou · 04/07/2024 22:30

LadyWhistled0wn · 04/07/2024 22:12

Certainly going to be interesting with Nigel Farage in the Houses of Parliament...

Doubt he'll bother to turn up much.

Kendodd · 04/07/2024 22:31

Tracker1234 · 04/07/2024 22:26

They will allow an ammesty on illegal migration and let all the people who are here already to stay and then claim they have cut the list.

Wasn't that Johnsons idea when he was mayor of London?

SwedishEdith · 04/07/2024 22:33

I'm...curious about how Reform will actually perform in Parliament. I suspect they'll mostly be useless rabble rousers who'll soon become as tiresome as the DUP. More worrying is if any Tories defect to them. Would be hilarious if Farage didn't actually win in Clacton.

Justrelax · 04/07/2024 22:34

OMG I'm so FUCKING BORED of hearing about that 'there's no money' JOKE memo. Get over it everyone. The fact people are still dragging that out 14 years later just shows how little they actually have to criticise.

God forbid anybody’s boomer dad is a bit worse off 🙄

Paul2023 · 04/07/2024 22:36

This isn’t like the 1992 election when it was predicted that Labour would win with a hung parliament but John Major managed to scrape a majority.

It’s clear Labour have won. But Starmer will face the reality of the UKs problems tomorrow.

Im nervous that Labour will increase taxes and hit motorists..

Reform aren't an opposition. Conservatives are an opposition. Libdems also. Greens would be if they get any bloody seats. These are parties with a clear rationale who can hold government to account. Reform, like all fascists, do not have a clear rationale. They will be noisy and obstructive for sure, but simply acting in a negative way in the legislative chamber does not constitute a political opposition

Rhinohides · 04/07/2024 22:37

It’s in the bag

Paul2023 · 04/07/2024 22:38

What happens if Labour shadow cabinet members lose their seats ? I know it’s unlikely but just curious.

Or even if Keir Starmer lost his seat ?!

LadyWhistled0wn · 04/07/2024 22:38

@lavenderlou Touchè, probably spend his time getting pissed in the elite club. 😂

Nothing really to do with the political points being made but if the poster’S Dad was a pensioner last time Labour were in power wouldn’t he be the generation before Boomer. If so, interesting as my grandparents would have been a similar age and they all benefited from a Labour government!

I think it’s more than unlikely TBH - it simply won’t happen with a majority that big
