The thought of Ange in a position of power is frightening

I am glad Reform got more seats. Will hold Labour feet to the fire over immigration as there only idea is smashed the gangs and set up yet another government quango.

Yeah there does need to be some right wing opposition I think. 13 seats is fine. Nowhere near a majority thankfully, but enough to let the supporters have a voice. (Labour supporter here.)

What border? We are an island.

It’s irrelevant whether we’re an island or not!

Compared to?

It's Labours time. Tories have had 14 years and things haven't improved except for them and their friends.

Agree!

HauntedBungalow · 04/07/2024 22:21

Reform are fascists. Fascists getting seats is chilling. They barely even ran a campaign but they've got 13 seats.

Viviennemary · 04/07/2024 22:22

I wavered a bit in the last few days. But voted Labour. And I dont even like them that much. But I like the Tories a lot less and dont think much of the others either.

Can’t believe Labour is on course to win and people are happy to pay more tax and open up the border. Nice one…

If immigration is something you think is an issue, maybe take 5 minutes to find the stats on it and realise it is the highest it has been in the last 14 years, under the tories lol

Tracker1234 · 04/07/2024 22:22

She is a puppet for the unions and massively left wing.

It will be even worse under Labour!!

Really....? Hmm

She must have some bad points though, surely ... ?

It isn’t. You are saying Labour are going to open the border. I’m asking what border? And to who?

Kendodd · 04/07/2024 22:23

LadyWhistled0wn · 04/07/2024 22:12

Certainly going to be interesting with Nigel Farage in the Houses of Parliament...

I expect he'll get himself on lots of committees, and try to do as much damage to the public as possible. They he'll tell the everyone how terrible 'they' HoC, are, when all the while it was him doing everything he could to cause harm. Just like he did when an MEP. And the gullible will believe it.

Scautish · 04/07/2024 22:24

Angela Raynor is a fucking inspiration. from her background to get to where she has - amazing. bloody brilliant and the fact it may annoy reform cultists all the better.

Absolutely happy to pay more tax to improve public services thanks.

Where in their manifesto does it say they’re opening up the boarders? It doesn’t, does it? You made that up, didn’t you?

TheThreeCheesesOfTheApocalypse44 · 04/07/2024 22:25

I'm worried about the effect the need for photo ID will gave on voting.

Cyclingmummy1 · 04/07/2024 22:25

I truly believed things could only get better in 1997. I remember being jubilant while DH warned of the disaster to come. This time, I'm with him, we're heading for a disaster.

fussychica · 04/07/2024 22:26

Not concerned that Labour won't get in, I do think that's a given, well I bloody well hope it is! However, my constituency is supposed to be on a knife edge. Currently safe Conservative seat. I think Labour failed to put up a well matched candidate so unfortunately I think it will be a Conservative hold.

I agree.
I don't think it's possible to support them and not be a racist. I've certainly never met a supporter of theirs who isn't a massive racist.

Tracker1234 · 04/07/2024 22:26

They will allow an ammesty on illegal migration and let all the people who are here already to stay and then claim they have cut the list.
