Here are this year's candidates. From left to right:- Michael the beach policeman (Law and order party), Emilia (Fashion accessories party), Jack Jellyhead (Legalise robbery party) Norman the foreman (Tea drinking and lifesaving party), Deepika (Keep fit party) and Seiji (DIY party).

Will Norman the foreman and the Tea drinking and lifesaving party remain in power? We will have to find out! The population of Playmoland will soon be arriving to cast their votes.

The polling station will open at 7 am.

This is so obviously a Russian bot thread trying to manipulate us.

Zonder · 04/07/2024 10:52

Is Seiji offering free DIY? I might vote for him.

SoMuchToBits · 04/07/2024 10:57

@GeneralMusings I used to be a nurse, then a SAHM then a healthcare assistant, now sort of semi retired. In my spare time I play music, read books, do various craft activities and set up Playmo scenes!

@Scautish I can assure you I'm neither Russian nor a bot! Grin

@Zonder he isn't offering free DIY but is considering a subsidy on DIY supplies.

I’m voting for Norman. He’s been a good leader for all this time so I’m happy to back him once again. His inclusive approach to hot beverages is reflective of his balanced commitment to all Playmo citizens, I feel

These lovely people have featured on many a national occasion

I'm afraid that I am shallow enough to give my vote to anyone who believes handbag purchases deserve a state subsidy....

TheDarkMonarch · 04/07/2024 11:09

Norman gets my vote - he sounds like a thoroughly decent sort of chap and I like tea.

Nightblindness · 04/07/2024 11:11

I was going to vote for Michael, thinking he was a lifesaver and presuming his manifesto included obligatory beach days, but I see he is actually a spoil sport law and order Bod. Might have to pick Norman again...

Well, I'll have a think but it's probably still a vote catcher for me.

Prime minister Norman the Foreman arrives to vote with his mate Brian.

Oh wow I feel I've missed out. These guys are fab!

HappierTimesAhead · 04/07/2024 11:32

So glad to have stumbled upon this!👏

HappierTimesAhead · 04/07/2024 11:37

I'm shamelessly voting for Emilia even though I am not sure she's going to do to much to reduce inequality.

strawberriesfordays · 04/07/2024 11:41

love this

JewelleryCat · 04/07/2024 11:47

Norman and Brian with their tea. Very well deserved to have a cuppa after voting

taybert · 04/07/2024 11:50

The candidates in playmo land are so superior I’m properly jealous. Imagine not being able to choose because they all look so good instead of not being able to choose because they all look so bad!

RustyBear · 04/07/2024 11:50

I’m voting for Norman - tea is so important.

SoMuchToBits · 04/07/2024 12:00

I've just been out to vote in the RL election. There were 7 candidates in our constituency, but really I think I'd rather have voted for the tea drinking and life saving party if there had been one. I did manage to make a decision in the end!

I can't believe none of you can see the Russian influence - it's in front of our eyes, people......

Norman and tea drinking all the way!

MalcolmTuckersSwearBox · 04/07/2024 12:06

I'm a Norman girl. I believe in his good, solid leadership but I do like the look of Deepika's Keep Fit plans.

Ahem, I think someone has been photoshopping my picture!

My vote is for Jack Jellyhead, keeping things interesting, plus, everyone deserves at least one vote haha.

We had a rather eye-watering 11 candidates!

I’m afraid I don’t like tea. I wish for a gardening party, but I’m going for Seiji and DIY because practical skills are great, even the ones that aren’t horticultural.

Meadowwild · 04/07/2024 12:11

Tough decisions. Deepika (love his fitness and health of the nation focus) or Seiji (all that DIY is so ecologically sound)?

Think Seiji wins by a margin, but it's close.
