It's general election day for the Playmobil people in our house.

Here are this year's candidates. From left to right:- Michael the beach policeman (Law and order party), Emilia (Fashion accessories party), Jack Jellyhead (Legalise robbery party) Norman the foreman (Tea drinking and lifesaving party), Deepika (Keep fit party) and Seiji (DIY party).

Will Norman the foreman and the Tea drinking and lifesaving party remain in power? We will have to find out! The population of Playmoland will soon be arriving to cast their votes.

The polling station will open at 7 am.

I've had a long think and I do think Norman has been a good leader over all these years. So despite my initial leanings towards Deepika, I'm going to go for Norman the Foreman again.

Robyn walks into the polling station, unaware that Jack Jellyhead has just stolen her purse! But fortunately Dinesh sees what happens and raises the alarm.

Raymond the bicycle cop soon arrives on the scene.

He gives the purse back to Robyn and soon has Jack in handcuffs.

I admire your attention to detail here and agree completely. I'd love to see a coalition between the Tea drinking and life saving party and the DIY party. It's everything this country Playmoland needs!

I'm voting Seiji and hoping for said coalition.

I am also heavily over invested.

Ooh does this mean Jack is now disqualified as a candidate? or does it mean if he is elected he will still be able to govern from prison like Trump will?

All the candidates are appealing (except Jack, he should know better by now) but since life saving is my work and tea drinking is my passion I'm afraid I am voting for the established regimen and hoping that they will include some of the other candidates policies in their future plans (DIY and fitness are for everyone not just the few).

I would vote for Tea Drinking, but hope DIY and Fitness get sufficient votes that they all need to work collaboratively.

Deepika for sure. Clearly fitness is needed to run away from or attack the recent crime wave, and will also reduce pressures on the Playmobil hospital.

Friends Nina, Anita, Carmen, Carolyn and Orla all go to the polling station together. Orla has brought her dogs. They are very well behaved.

Thank you! I'm a bit envious of your Playmobile collection. Love tea and life saving is so important but I think I'm going for the DIY party.

I'm torn between the DIY and Fitness parties. Not that I'm against tea drinking and life-saving but 14 years is a long time. It must be time someone else had a go!

On the basis that DIY probably keeps you quite fit I think that's where I'll place my vote. 🗳️

More gardening is definitely needed. I'd vote for Seiji anyway.
