It's general election day for the Playmobil people in our house.

Here are this year's candidates. From left to right:- Michael the beach policeman (Law and order party), Emilia (Fashion accessories party), Jack Jellyhead (Legalise robbery party) Norman the foreman (Tea drinking and lifesaving party), Deepika (Keep fit party) and Seiji (DIY party).

Will Norman the foreman and the Tea drinking and lifesaving party remain in power? We will have to find out! The population of Playmoland will soon be arriving to cast their votes.

The polling station will open at 7 am.

Time to tell you a bit about all of the candidates.

Michael the beach policeman has been standing for the Law and order party for the last 14 years. He believes in fairness and order for all, and enjoys arresting criminals.

Emilia is making her first foray into politics. She believes all fashion should be subsidised, but particularly accessories. She is very fond of a hat!

Jack Jellyhead is another long time campaigner and believes that robbery should be legal. Otherwise how would you get any goods?

Norman the Foreman has been Prime Minister for the last 14 years. He has been a very popular leader. His favourite beverage is tea, but he is very inclusive and ensures the population has access to whichever beverage they prefer. He also is very keen on lifesaving, and provides free first aid and lifeguarding courses for the people of Playmoland.

Deepika is a top class athlete, and believes that fitness facilities should be available to all.

Seiji is another new candidate this year, and thinks that everyone should get involved in their own building or making projects.

I was ready to vote for Deepika but after the manifestos were released, I realise that Seiji is the obvious choice.

I'm a bit concerned about the little girl in the bikini. Is it Swimming today? She's going to be cold in that all day!

Anyway, I think Norman's had his span so we probably need an alliance of DIY and Fashion Accessories. They both need organisational skills, forward planning and creative minds, y'know

Lucius isn't too steady on his feet, but he and Emmeline have still managed to get out to vote.

I’m going to vote for Norman to stay in as prime minister. He seems a jolly good chap and seems to have kept everyone happy in Playmoland over the past few years. I wonder if there might be a shock result this year though?

Gosh, this is tricky. Norman’s done a lot for us, but he shouldn’t take the electorate for granted. We have no kings here. I’ll probably vote for him again but hope he’s re-elected with a smaller majority.

Seiji for me too. I love a bit of DIY and flat pack construction.

Tricky, tricky. I think I will vote for Norman (and Kylie) but hope they end up in coalition with Deepak, as tea, lifesaving and keep fit seem like a good fit together.

My question to them both would be: Unisex or single sex spaces; which is important to you?

@Karatema they are both in favour of single sex spaces, so that doesn't help you much I'm afraid!
Emilia has arrived to vote with her fashionable friend Anuja. I expect Anuja will be voting for the fashion accessories party.

I need to know what you do in real life (outside of playmobil world). This is so brilliantly creative 😍.

I was thinking of voting for the fitness one as I am unfit and that would help but I also love tea and inclusivity so may be boring nad just vote for it to stay the same! __
