Do you consider yourself good looking?

I’m OK in real life, but not the least bit photogenic šŸ˜‚

You?

KezzabellaB · 01/07/2024 19:41

Nope. I look at myself in the mirror and can't find anything appealing at all. God knows what my husband sees in me šŸ™„

uxie · 01/07/2024 19:43

I don't think I look too bad when I put a face full of make up on and do my hair, otherwise I think I look like I've been dead for 3 weeks.

LaurieFairyCake · 01/07/2024 19:44

Definitely

ModernHijabi · 01/07/2024 19:45

My husband thinks I'm pretty. But I am the only woman he's ever been with so he may be biased.

seagullstolemypie · 01/07/2024 19:46

I hate how I look in photographs and as my mother tells me 'the camera never lies' - but it does!

AmusedMaker · 01/07/2024 19:46

I can pull off the ā€˜dragged through a hedge backwards’ look absolutely perfectly.
10/10

Notellinganyone · 01/07/2024 19:47

I was stunning when I was younger. Now 57, menopausal and overweight. Still scrub up ok though.

Muffin101 · 01/07/2024 19:47

Yes I do actually. I’m not model-standard but I’m quite a good looking woman and i am confident and I smile a lot, which counts for a great deal I think.

Moonlightstaralight · 01/07/2024 19:57

I have good days and bad days, good points and bad points.
When I look in the mirror I think " will I do today, do I look acceptable "
I just can't imagine being so self congratulatory as to actually look in the mirror and say " don't I look wonderful?"
Partly the way I was brought up I expect where being "full of yourself" was frowned upon.

Hatty65 · 01/07/2024 19:59

Nope. I wasn't one of the pretty girls, and I'm definitely not photogenic. Was reasonably attractive in my early 30s once I'd learned a little about what styles suited me.

Now overweight, old and grey. Not bothered in the slightest. What I look like is the least important thing about me.

SallyWD · 01/07/2024 20:00

I'll be honest - sometimes I think I look really good but then I see photos of myself and I see something completely different! It's so odd. I can look in a mirror some days and think "Oh I look beautiful!" (I know how conceited that sounds!) and someone will take a photo that same day and I look completely different (and not at all beautiful!). People have told me I'm beautiful but I think I have too many flaws. I think I'm one of those people who's almost beautiful but not quite.

CreationNat1on · 01/07/2024 20:03

Yes, I do. I think grooming is v important and most people can look attractive if they maintain personal standards. Healthy weight, healthy diet, healthy skin and hair and a pleasant demeanor go a long way.

ThereIsATInWater · 01/07/2024 20:04

God no!!

I'm hugely overweight and hairy (woman)!
I've had one or two decent photos of me , as an adult ever. Hence I'm never in pictures.

Also wonder why DP is with me!!!

InsolentNoise · 01/07/2024 20:04

I was actually stunning a couple of years ago at 53. Long, blonde hair. Green eyes. Long, tanned legs. Amazing figure.

Hate myself now. Why on earth did I let myself put on so much weight ffs.

I was good-looking as a teenager but definitely looked my best 2 years ago.

Amiokay · 01/07/2024 20:06

Yes I do but it’s taken me most of my 20s to get to that point, still don’t love every photo. Still maintain it’s the least interesting thing about me!

surlycurly · 01/07/2024 20:06

I think I've grown in to myself as I've got older. I'm pretty nice looking and I dress well. I exercise and am in reasonable shape although I'm definitely on the curvy end of the weight spectrum. I take a good photo, except when unexpected and then I look like a walrus.

Mammma91 · 01/07/2024 20:06

Nope. I look like a troll. Only grateful my children don’t resemble me at all.

Itsnotmeanttodothat · 01/07/2024 20:06

A few of my teen daughter's friends say I'm pretty and act gob smacked when she says I'm 40. They think I look late twenties. A group of colleagues had a discussion about it and some said no she's more like 35 definitely not 20s. I found it quite amusing.
A friend said it's the cheek bones or bone structure. I look loads better around mid cycle. Makes me laugh how people have discussed how I look in front of me. I can't see what they do. I have a bad body image.

FknOmniShambles · 01/07/2024 20:07

I used to be before I put on all this fucking weight. Very upset at myself for doing so. Luckily, fiance thinks I'm bloody gorgeous - Christ knows why but I'm not complaining.
I can still take an attractive selfie what with the wonders of modern technology....!

theemmadilemma · 01/07/2024 20:07

Yes.

Not a model by any means. But I think you know when you're attractive because of how people treat you and often people tell you.

BobbyBiscuits · 01/07/2024 20:07

I hate my broken nose as it reminds me of DV and humiliation. Apart from that I don't hate my looks. My skin is shite, but I like my ears.
I'm very critical of my size as I've ED, but I actually know my figure is quite good really.
My torso isn't long enough, but I like my long slim legs. I've no arse whatsoever. And really big bunions on my feet. But no grey hair yet. And my eyes are quite a cool colour.
I'm just bloody glad I'm still healthy enough to be alive in a vaguely functional manner, lol.

DonaldJohnTrump · 01/07/2024 20:09

Yes, bigly.

B1rd · 01/07/2024 20:10

I think at 52, in comparison to other women my age, I am looking good. I still try and make the effort and seek out nice clothes, make the effort with makeup etc.
However, there are some mornings that I wake up and think I must have been fighting lions and tigers! The stuff of horror stories!

MissingMoominMamma · 01/07/2024 20:11

DonaldJohnTrump · 01/07/2024 20:09

Yes, bigly.

😁

MissingMoominMamma · 01/07/2024 20:12

I used to be pretty, but now it’s an uphill battle to not frighten the horses.
