Just back from Kings of Leon at BST Hyde park

What a lovely venue

Have been dying to see Paulo Nutini for a long time and he just seemed so spaced out

Kings of Leon were super as always

To the side of the large stage was a warm up act and my god they were the greatest i have ever seen

Who were the warm up act OP?

I saw Primal Scream a while back supporting the Stone Roses and they really surprised me they were so good, might be as Ian Browns vocals were so shit 🤣

thisisasurvivor · 30/06/2024 22:41

I am kicking myself I did not get their names

It was a dj and two dancers

They were so great and stopped to have so much fun with the crowd

Any one know their names?

Trying to upload a pic

Cher and Barry Manilow stand out as people that I was given tickets to , not interested in either and would have happily gone back the next day but they are more show than concert . Olly Murrs was also brilliant on the recent Take That tour - much more entertaining than Take That - again not tickets that I bought personally .

TM1979 · 30/06/2024 22:44

We are going to KOL on Saturday, can’t wait!
Blossoms were surprisingly great both times I saw them.
Richard Ashcroft supporting Pearl Jam last week was epic!

shellyleppard · 30/06/2024 22:44

Op if you try Google it should tell you who the warm up act were

Where are you going to see them?

Anyone else seen Paulo Nutini?

Went to see Death Cab for Cutie. Used to love them but they were such a disappointment.

The support were The Beths. They were amazing.

I saw him supporting Liam Gallagher at knebworth in 2022 and thought he was pretty awesome but the crowd wasn’t that engaged

21 pilots. Took my daughter as she was ONSESSED. Expected nothing but it was the best concert I've ever seen. Incredible staging, audience engagement and choons! Seen Bowie,
Springsteen and many other of my own and previous eras but this was the best.
Very surprised.

Stumbled into George Clinton and the P-Funk All-Stars at a festival over 20 years ago.

Oh My Fucking God. Mind blown.

BagFullOfNoodles · 30/06/2024 23:07

When I was about 18 I somehow ended up going to see Madness at the old London Arena, (2002/3 ish so not in their heyday) there were about half a dozen of us and the rest of the crowd were mainly old enough to be our parents. It was bloody brilliant, it was one of the most fun gigs I've ever been to. I still have a t-shirt I bought that night that says fuck art let's dance which really summed up the evening.

I have a vague feeling we ended up with the tickets because someone's dad got them then couldn't go so we bought them off him for about £15 each

Conniethecatapillar · 30/06/2024 23:09

Oh Madness would be brilliant, so many fun songs to dance to!

Years ago I went to see Robbie Williams at Knebworth and one of the supports was The Darkness. They were absolutely bloody amazing and I enjoyed their set so much! Absolute showmen! Does anybody remember Orson? I got tickets for them via a friend who couldn't go and because it was near I went. They were fantastic! So much so I bought another pair of tickets on the eBay for a London gig a week later. I wish they'd not split. They were such a great band and didn't have a single rubbish song.

Astronaut79 · 30/06/2024 23:14

Chilli peppers at Reading. Fucking awful.

Flaming lips about 10 years ago... unreal. Unreal.

Opposite end of the scale in terms of show: mariachi el bronx in a tiny venue in Stoke on trent. Amazing.
