The marinated rotisserie chicken (the one you cook in the bag)

Three deli items for £8, my personal favourites being:

  • Green nocellara olives
  • Marinated artichokes
  • calamari
  • goats cheese bell peppers
  • sweet potato falafels
  • Any of the quiches

The signature sourdough

Any of the fancy dips, they do a yoghurt and labneh one that's really nice.

The kiln smoked salmon fillets - so delicious (£17 for a bag of 5 though so look out for yellow stickers)

The butternut squash and sage filled pasta

The fruit is always really nice, rarely get a bad bunch of grapes or dry oranges in M&S

I also don't think the food is particularly expensive. It's fine for basics like lentils, rice and pasta too. The cleaning products are crap though.

Dolallytats · 14/06/2024 22:44

The lemon & lime marmalade is perfect and their own brand jaffa cakes are delicious. Oh, and the single serve profiterole dessert!!

SnappersUnflatteringSelfie · 14/06/2024 22:45

Tinned rice pudding
Not as nice as home made but lovely
Chocolate covered bourbons, hog roast mini sausage rolls pats UPF filled stomach

Whoknowswhatanymore · 14/06/2024 22:48

Er, everything? Surely! Nom nom 🤤

CalicoPusscat · 14/06/2024 22:52

I don't know if it's been mentioned but their cheeseboard approx £8 is lovely

All this talk about dips… Full range of dips aren’t available in Ireland anymore (and loads of other stuff. Thanks, Brexit). I have to buy the salad bowls to get even a tiny Bang Bang Sauce hit. The Labneh Yoghurt is really nice, but it’s no Herby Feta Dip… And now I have to hear about this amazing Caesar Dip (and Indian Dip!). I’m not even going to look, they won’t be there!

@whereisthesummer22 are you on Guildford? M&S Football opened there this week. So much excitement over it!

As well as excitement there is much consternation that there are no customer toilets.

Allschoolsareartschools · 14/06/2024 23:02

M&S Gold tea bags! Soooo fresh & good.

klodhppie · 14/06/2024 23:05

Coronation sauce, buttermilk ranch dressing, their pistachio nougat and the hazelnut creme.

Depends!
What kind of things do you like?
I'm personally loving the Plant Kitchen vegan range.
Do amazing pizzas and battered "cauliflower popcorn chicken."
The glass bottles of rose lemonade are also lovely

Catnipcupcakes · 14/06/2024 23:07

Their washing machine descaler/cleaner smells divine.

@NoseNothing That’s encouraging! I bought that for the first time today as I had £2 off household/cleaning in my Thursday Sparks coupons.

Catnipcupcakes · 14/06/2024 23:08

@GoodAfternoonGoodEveningAndGoodnight

Is the cauliflower popcorn thing frozen? It sounds divine.

Summertimer · 14/06/2024 23:10

Nibbly and lunchy bits - bang bang chicken with its dip, just add ham chunks, Katsu crisps, Greek salad, cheese scones from bakery, chocolate ginger biscuits, shortbread squares

Desserts - Greek yogurt with cherry in the bottom, choc ganache pots

Good stuff - lemon pepper smoked salmon, Rosa verde salad leaves

Don't buy - tomato salsa (skin on toms too chewy), hummus (too rich), raspberries (don’t keep as long as sell buy date)

CalicoPusscat · 14/06/2024 23:32

Do they do nice jams? The selection in Aldi didn't tempt me earlier.

Noooooo! I was so looking forward to trying that Caesar dip 😩

No, it's chilled - takes about 10 to 15 minutes in the oven

TwoBigNoisyBoys · 14/06/2024 23:58

I’m placemarking…my new
work place is a 3 minute walk from an M&S foodhall 😁

Yes! Their raspberry seedless preserve is heaven and I won’t buy any other jam now. So intense!

VanellopeVonSchweetz99 · 15/06/2024 00:54

The things we buy on repeat are weekend brunch type food; the select farms outdoor bred dry cured unsmoked back bacon rashers, the frozen ready to bake croissants, the sourdough bread from the bakery, wafer thin turkey slices and smooth brussels paté.

GordonBlue · 15/06/2024 01:16

As a pp said for basics they are often cheaper than the big four - butter, mature cheddar, no frill cereals etc.

They do good luxuries too though. My current favourite luxury is tiramisu gelato. So rich and thick it is heavenly. And at a fiver a tub it's about the same price as Ben & jerry but a million times nicer.

Redglitter · 15/06/2024 01:18

Percy pigs
Classic dip selection
BBQ chicken wings
