What should I buy in M&S Foodhall?

Brand new M&S foodhall has opened near me.. very excited! What should I buy?

Oh, they also do gluten free bread that is nice (the oaty loaf)

Three cheese & onion crisps. Yummy.

I only ever shop at M&S for yellow sticker food, so I'm not necessarily saying these are all worth the full price. But these are my favourites that I always look out for:

• The Greek feta and the Caprese pasta 'shake-a-salads' and the mozzarella and pesto wraps (in the food to go section)
• The 'no chicken nuggets' and the 'sweet and sour no chicken' meal (in the vegan section)
• The 'dinky red pepper and feta bites' and the 'dinky pizza calzones'
• Italian pasta and spinach salad
• Percy pig mini cupcakes
• Percy Pig cans of fizzy drink
• Any of the packs of two cupcakes, particularly the carrot cake ones
• Onion rings (chilled)
• Chunky chips (chilled)
• Woodfired mozarella pizzas
• Any of the chilled desserts, I tried the 'chocolate meringue' recently and it was lovely
• Tomato and basil spaghetti ready meal
• The mozzarella sticks and the halloumi sticks
• The packs of mini courgette and halloumi triangles, and feta and herb pastries

I do my weekly shop there (its just me and dh now) and its all I ever hoped it would be. It was my ambition when I was young so even though I’m not wealthy now, in my mind I’ve ‘made it’!

@whereisthesummer22 The hot smoked salmon and spinach salad is good, and the chicken shawarma salad (from the lunch salad section, in brown cardboard boxes) is even better if they have it.

Also pretzel thins, cheese crispies and honey roast peanuts.

Padron peppers 😋…. Only place you can buy them near me is Marksies

The 1kg chicken breat packets.
Beetroot coleslaw
Salad tubs - nutty salad, green salad and prawn layer are the best ( want till recall complete though) .
Got some good spicy pretzel thin Crisps recently.
Dairy free giant chocolate buttons are good.

Thanks for the replies. I've bought the beetroot coleslaw which has been fab. So many things I would like to buy and actually not hideously expensive! I want to do my weekly shop here

My Mum is 88 now and does her weekly shop at M&S ….she says all those years scrimping and saving when we were kids and looking enviously at the food in Marksies as she walked thru…..now she’s down sized and had 3 inheritances from my aunties and can afford it…. It makes me happy to see her so excited to do her food shop these days😊

Forget what everyone else says...shortbread chocolate chip cookies, unlike any other cookie. You're welcome.

I saw these roast hazelnut chocolatines in store today. Going to buy one next time I go

the little tubs of cookie dough bites, millionaire bites etc. ALL of them are good!

and my absolute faves are the best ever lasagne and their garlic bread

oooh @GirlOverboard123 we love an M&S yellow sticker too. DD loved the pizza calzones the other day.

@whereisthesummer22 a bit leftfield but recent (reduced natch) snacks from the sandwich section that we have loved have been an egg and tomato thing (DD, veggie) and a prawn and edamame bean thing (me).

I love just about eveything in M and S foodhall . My most recent favourite is the Victoria muffins from the bakery . Delicious !
I, too ,dream of a retirement where I do my regular shopping there .......

Large jar of Queen Chickpeas. Delicious. And the Queen Butterbeans

@whereisthesummer22 are you on Guildford? M&S Football opened there this week. So much excitement over it!

The bakery milk chocolate cookies
The Outrageously Chocolatey shortbread rounds

Their washing machine descaler/cleaner smells divine.

Truffle flavoured crisps.

Their £1 ketchup is good; it tastes very tomatoey. It’s great for recipes but don’t expect Heinz taste for chips etc.

Fresh cream caramelised biscuits yumnuts are my latest nemesis 😋

We treat ourselves to the following. passion fruit swiss roll from the chilled puddings section- delicious. Also lemon and lime marmalade, mexican dip and tortilla chips. Tried the sticky toffee cakes this week ( 4 in a pack)- expensive but nice for a treat as we were away on holiday.
