I don't smell down there but would like to feel fresher during the day.

What does everyone else use ?

Femfresh is marketing misogynistic bullshit.

Just use water on your vulva and some simple soap around the area.

kennedi · 07/06/2024 18:11

I've always just used my regular shower gel around the area. Never had thrush or any other issues

fieldsofbutterflies · 07/06/2024 18:11

It's a marketing gimmick.

Soap and water ... no need for anything else.

Savoydone · 07/06/2024 18:13

Shower gel when I shower in the morning. Then nothing.

GigiAnnna · 07/06/2024 18:14

I don't use it. I wash regularly and use a pantyliner and change it as when needed.

DiscoBeat · 07/06/2024 18:18

It's yet another unnecessary plastic bottle and cost. I use fairly plain soap anyway so no need for anything else.

loropianalover · 07/06/2024 18:28

I know people are very against it. I use the spray deodorant on hot days, I just like the freshness/coolness. I spray it in the fold part between my legs and crotch.

I’ve bought the wipes before but they’re very thin flimsy, and I’ve also bought the ‘intimate shower gel’ or whatever it’s called and found it a little drying on my skin. Now I just use water and a cloth in the shower, and Dettol and shower gel as normal with my loofah on the rest of my body.

UnimaginableWindBird · 07/06/2024 18:34

I have stress incontinence and so water no longer quite cuts it. I use YesYesYes cleanse, which is less irritating than soap.

Loafbeginsat60 · 07/06/2024 18:37

Just the shower intimate wash. I get cystitis or thrush if I use normal shower gel

Brianiac · 07/06/2024 18:53

I use water soluble emollient which was recommended by a HCP.

Fem fresh might be helpful for washing your bum but you still don't want it near your vagina

Soboredofdiettalk · 07/06/2024 18:57

I just use water on my actual vulva and normal soap in leg creases and butt! This works best for me. Any kind of soap on my vulva including Femfresh, just irritates me.

BigMandsTattooPortfolio · 07/06/2024 18:58

It’s made me wonder if you could persuade men to use ‘cockfresh’ or something similar. I somehow doubt it.

You shower in Dettol????

Mammacita1 · 07/06/2024 19:22

I use it and have done for years.

Your skin around your vagina does need proper cleaning with actual soap/product and not just water.

Internally yes you self clean but everything external needs soap. Your vulva and ass has folds/cracks and needs thorough cleaning inbetween with soap. Including and pardon the lower tone but your butt hole!

Now for me normal soap would give me thrush so I use feminine products but if it didn’t cause thrush then a normal soap everywhere would do it.

Men don’t have periods or discharge so that’s not relevant.

Youd think this was common knowledge but being around the general public and as the replies on these threads evidence its not, which explains why there are so many stinky people waltzing around.

Brianiac · 07/06/2024 19:22

You shower in Dettol????

They do anti bacterial shower products. I use their bar soap and quite like it

Oh right. I had an image of you pouring neat Dettol onto a sponge and lathering up!

Men have semen and sweat and bums so it certainly is "relevant" that they wash just as thoroughly as women.

BigMandsTattooPortfolio · 07/06/2024 19:56

And not all women have periods.

2pence · 07/06/2024 20:00

If I wash with anything other than the Femfresh Soothing intimate wash then I get thrush.

I believe there are more expensive gynaecological probiotic washes but the Femfresh Soothing is far cheaper and is effective.

It should only be used externally though.

Pigeonqueen · 07/06/2024 20:05

I just use normal shower gel around the area.

There are men’s equivalents by the way if anyone’s interested- I’ve seen them on Amazon!

BobbyBiscuits · 07/06/2024 20:11

God no. Just shower gel and water. I don't understand why? If you smelt down there then presumably it's fungal or another medical issue that needs treatment, not just to be masked with perfumes and chemicals?
I don't have periods anymore but never used it when I did. If I needed to I'd use wet wipes but not often.

Mammacita1 · 07/06/2024 21:26

@Tomatina yeah but they can use normal body wash as they don’t have delicate PH balance levels like women. Hence why feminine products are such a thing.
