I don't smell down there but would like to feel fresher during the day.

What does everyone else use ?

I do, only because it's cheap compared to most unscented shower gels. And seen as I use lush shower gel and soap I'd be a thrushy nightmare in no time

Catnipcupcakes · 07/06/2024 21:38

I’ve been seeing Femfresh in the shops for decades, its misogynistic marketing nonsense imo.

I just have a wash with water and body wash and if I need to much later on I’ll use a wet toilet wipe. I don’t believe you need special cleansing products because of ‘the special ph balance’ or whatever. Wash twice a day at the most and leave well alone.

Hotnamehere · 07/06/2024 21:41

I don't think it's wise to detail how you wash your fanny on MN.

Gosh no way.. it's very bad for you.
Wash your groin area and bottom area with soap/ shower gel.. but your vulva only needs water ... or if you must aqueous cream is fine.

2pence · 07/06/2024 21:47

It's something anyone who uses my bathroom will see in the shower and I think it's high time we moved away from this coquettish fake horror that someone might wash their genitalia with a product designed for it.

Plus due of pearl clutching reactions like this, it may be that most women aren't able to have this conversation outside of an anonymous forum.

lipglossandmascara · 07/06/2024 21:47

A daily shower with water and natural soap is fine.

Sensitive baby wipes in your handbag in case you need a freshen up x

CurlewKate · 07/06/2024 21:48

How do you "feel fresher?"

Its anonymous, I don’t care. I find this topic kind of interesting but I wouldn’t have this conversation with anyone irl.

CurlewKate · 07/06/2024 21:49

But yes-it's pure misogyny. Tell women their bodies are smelly, leaky, dirty- then sell them a product to fix it.

I'm pretty sure there's a certain type who find this topic interesting too.

Compash · 07/06/2024 21:52

On the advice of a gynaecologist, plain water. I do take the shower hose off and fountain it upwards, and use the lightest swipe of soap around the arrrrse...

But maybe I'm bowfing and don't know it. 🤷‍♀️

MummyCushion · 07/06/2024 21:52

Is this thread posted by a Fem Fresh employee? No-one needs this stuff surely.

Yeah, except I am smelly, leaky and occasionally dirty so require an actual wash, not aqueous cream, not just water.

It's not misogynistic to say women need to wash. We do.

Suncream123 · 07/06/2024 21:53

Use any of that rubbish and you'll get BV, which stinks.

So what?

2pence · 07/06/2024 21:56

Even unperfumed soap gives me thrush. Femfresh Soothing wash doesn't. Each to their own eh?

Prawncow · 07/06/2024 21:56

Femfresh is marketing misogynistic bullshit.

Absolutely.

Clean your peen with Mr.Sheen.

Lokshen · 07/06/2024 22:00

Weirdly I had some issues with odour, and they stopped when I stopped femfresh. I now use Sanex Organic Soothing Agave shower gel all over and feel much fresher, no irritation

Always used it, never had BV. Been in a few loos at crowded events where it's clear the person before had it, yeah it's pretty fishy. Also behind a women in a queue today who very clearly needed to wash her genitalia better, she smelt like a combination of Skips and Cheesy Wotsits when she bent over in leggings.

You certainly know your low grade, flavoured corn snack scents. Skills 💅 😂

CurlewKate · 07/06/2024 22:07

@2pence "It's not misogynistic to say women need to wash. We do."

No. But it is misogynist to say that our bodies are uniquely disgusting and need special products to wash with.

boonana · 07/06/2024 22:08

Not all of us have a naturally sweet smelling fanny. And not all of us have a medical problem. Believe it or not, some women do just need to freshen up, and water doesn't cut it. Hate the sweeping generalisations on here.
