Just that really. Will he be found?

I would like to add that this thread is a rare enough thing on MN, where the subject of the thread is universally liked and admired. It is not very often that I have seen every post as positive and supportive of this man.

Whatever the outcome, if any of his family ever read this thread, it will be such a positive and heartening thing for them to read.

He is obviously well liked, loved and admired by many. I said "is" until we know something different.

Blimey Op, not sure why you are getting such a roasting for starting a thread!

Ihavenoclu · 06/06/2024 21:26

I wish with everything I have that he is found safe and well. He has helped so many people. My heart breaks for his family

Because basically some people have got nothing better to do on a weekday night than attack someone they don’t know on an internet forum. If it gives them pleasure then go ahead.

I keep on checking the news app to see if he’s been found.

I really can’t get him and his poor family out of my head tonight😞 Praying that he is found safe and well but my gut is saying otherwise..

Cadela · 06/06/2024 21:43

I think the likelihood is he went for a walk and slipped. It’s horrific to think about but it’s such a small island if he wasn’t injured it wouldn’t take long to find his way back to the beach and civilisation.

I really feel for his lovely wife. I hope she’s got lots of support over there.

It’s been over 30 hours, in a tiny island. So unless they know and aren’t saying yet, which is understandable, I can’t fathom how they haven’t found him yet.

So true. Feel very invested but simply because he seems like a lovely man and his Just One Thing series has surely been incrementally life changing for so many people.

ChickyBricky · 06/06/2024 21:49

My heart goes out to his wife and children, family and friends. I wouldn't normally think twice about a celebrity going missing, but this is a special man. No one has a bad word to say about him, and he has worked hard to improve the quality of life of so many people around the world.

Helloworld56 · 06/06/2024 21:51

I really hope for a good outcome from this. I am thinking of his family, they must be beside themselves.

MattDamon · 06/06/2024 21:53

Says here he previously had an episode where he lost his memory and was confused:

Notfastjustfurious · 06/06/2024 21:55

Oh no, just seeing this for the first time. What awful news, really hope he's OK.

nobeans · 06/06/2024 22:00

Letmehaveabloodyusernameplease · 06/06/2024 21:18

It's just a question. Will he? Who knows? Let's hope so for the sake of his family but many people go missing and, sadly, aren't always found.
Let's hope this isn't one of those scenarios.

Wtf no its not some sort of guess if he'll be found?

That’s a little misleading did you even read this article, it was due to cold water swimming, clearly not something he was doing here, and he retained a sense of self, it also came back after a few hours.

CurrentHun · 06/06/2024 22:12

Oh how worrying. I do hope he’s safe and is found very soon.

pentangles · 06/06/2024 22:16

As far as I am aware, most missing person's intended to leave. Then there's the accidents, head injuries and random attacks. Followed by abduction, tragic runaways (mostly youths) and then murder.
Mr Moseley, to my mind, is more likely to be in the second category - accident, misfortune, not necessarily bad news, but possibly needs assistance.

I recall Honeysuckle Weeks going missing for a while, only to turn up later with some media babble about stress.

DP and I were discussing this tonight, and since we know each other so well, I am sure that if he went out for a walk at 1.30pm and wasn't back for dinner, I would text. If I had no reply by 9pm, I would seriously worry, since we have our own pattern.

Odd that dogs, drones and such were used this early, since usually they won't search for anyone over 18 unless it's been 48 hours.

I wonder why?

We don't know he hadnt been swimming?

Justleaveitblankthen · 06/06/2024 22:18

I subscribe to his podcasts and they while away my many hours of driving Even today one of his podcasts was live on Radio 4. It was about eating slowly and mindfully to cut calories and I was musing that I would do this myself later.
As always, it was really interesting.

It's so worrying, but here's hoping for the best.

sorry but this does happen, calm the hysteria, he is a stranger to you, i presume?
I do think it is most likely he will be located soon.

TokyoSushi · 06/06/2024 22:20

Gosh it's a worry, so has he been missing since yesterday lunchtime? This is the second night?

pentangles · 06/06/2024 22:22

Not exactly rocket science is it? Not a huge fan of his 'work'.
I can't tolerate blind idolatry, but similarly i hope he is located soon. He is a decent chap.

You obviously didn't read it. It says heat is a trigger. How embarrassing for you.

And it's not like the 24 hrs is on a stop watch. It could be anything but his history is relevant.

JessyCarr · 06/06/2024 22:23

@pentangles I volunteer for a missing persons charity - it is a complete myth that (in the UK) there is any 24 or 48 hours’ “rule” preventing early searches for missing people. On the contrary, it is imperative that searching starts as soon as possible for obvious reasons.

The Greek authorities, to their credit, seem to have taken this seriously from the moment he was reported missing. Apart from anything else, temperatures there are so high (forecast to be around 48 C tomorrow, according to the BBC News) that an injured or incapacitated person would need to be taken to safety ASAP.

I dont know what the protocol is on Greek islands but its a myth that the police won't look for missig adults under 48 hours in the UK. Im assuming that's where you are as you mention a British actress
