I was wondering the same, genius!

ssd · 22/05/2024 17:21

They are singing it now, the police probably took the boombox awayGrin

I am so here for it… Genius 😂

MyOtherCarisAVauxhallZafira · 22/05/2024 17:57

It's not genius it's immature. I absolutely won't be voting Tory but blasting out music from the nineties while due electoral process is taking place is just look at me behaviour.

LongSinceGotUpAndGone · 22/05/2024 17:58

I'm hopeful of improvement but imagining we can recreate 1997 is wishful thinking.

BringItOnTooRight · 22/05/2024 18:00

The only due political process was the announcement of the date.

The rest was just campaigning and bad-mouthing the opposition, which was very incongruous and mostly below-the-belt stuff.

And it went on and on.

And after all, things can only get better!

zaxxon · 22/05/2024 18:00

I laughed .... it was a nice contrast to the way he kept telling us that under Labour things could only get worse

It's immature and it has made a lot of people's day.

This government is not a serious government, it deserves no better, it deserves to be a laughing stock and I thoroughly approve of whoever did this.

Hedgerow2 · 22/05/2024 18:02

Well he could have made the announcement indoors instead of standing outside like a drowned rat trying to make his voice heard over the (hardly unexpected) music/heckling. Bad judgement - as always.

Quite. Is this who Labour voters are? Pathetic.

Of course! Let's judge all Labour voters by the actions of a few 🙄. Shall we also judge all Tories by the actions of some of their members/supporters?

msbevvy · 22/05/2024 18:31

Why would we want to remind ourselves of that smug warmonger Blair and his New Labour cronies who betrayed the working class people that voted for them?

Billyandharry · 22/05/2024 18:31

@Echobelly completely agree!
I've been a social worker fir 20 years and I've seen people's lives dismantled by the current greedy rich boys in charge.

YouJustDoYou · 22/05/2024 18:32

Idiots.

I know, it's so awful of them to pay almost half their wages in tax. Terrible people.

Loveheartsandlockets · 22/05/2024 18:33

It was Steve Bray, the thorn in the side of the Tories.

Oh no, you won’t be voting Tory. Nobody ever does Wink

If you are so rich that you pay half your wages in tax then you should be thankful for the good fortune that you have. Instead of being so entitled and greedy. And before you start bleating on about hard work, there are many, many people on minimum wage who work just as hard as you do and get no thanks for it. And that is not their fault either.

Countrylife2002 · 22/05/2024 18:37

The music blaring and the rain pouring on him gave me absolute and utter joy this afternoon! Was absolutely perfect

It’s not ‘music from the 90s’ it was the lab part election theme in 97. Sent a thrill up my spine to hear it .

MyOtherCarisAVauxhallZafira · 22/05/2024 18:40

@Dollenganger333 I work in the public sector it would be like punching myself in the face

I know I was there. It's still immature. Also for all the hope 1997 gave us, where did we end up?

Agreed. I can't believe someone couldn't stop it.

lentilrice · 22/05/2024 18:42

It made me smile.

Justcats · 22/05/2024 18:44

I absolutely loved Rishi getting soaked and the music blaring. Showed the same respect to the Tories as they give to us.

It made my day.
