What holiday places do you consider to be 'posh?'

Apologies for the sort of TAAT, but the Caribbean thread got me thinking. I know this can be very subjective too, but what holiday destinations would you immediately think of as 'posh', as in exclusive and for wealthy people?

French Riviera, Marbella and the Hamptons

Marbella isn’t posh at all. I agree with Norfolk and Scotland. Abroad I’d say a Safari somewhere like Botswana.

Yes - definitely Lake Como.

I went to lake como on my honeymoon and I don’t think it’s “posh” at all! It’s very popular with American tourists and loads of middle class Brits go there. Even TUI do holidays to lake como. There is money there but not old money.

Lots of places people have listed are expensive, but that is not the same as “posh”. Actual “posh” people (as in people with titles) that I know tend to holiday in their second homes. Those homes aren’t even necessarily abroad.

This is true. My friends are all super minted (God knows why they're interested in me!!!) but this year I've bopped off to Norfolk, Spain and soon Cyprus curtesy of friends.

Half term is Connecticut.

Easter Thailand.

St.Moritz, St.Barts, Turks and Caicos, French Polynesia, parts of Colorado or California. No doubt somewhere I have never heard of.

The poshest places that I have been are:
Jackson Hole
Burnham Market
Holt
Bath
Egg Harbour.

Skiing anywhere nowadays regardless of price is "posh" in my books!
