Genuine question, why would enjoying holidays in the Caribbean make you a snob, posh, or a twit?

I know loads of working class people who have travelled to the Caribbean. So posh defo wouldn't come to mind .

I’d think I wouldn’t fancy the long flight in economy, but they obviously either think it’s worth it or can afford to upgrade. Then I’d think about where I was going on holiday next, and probably then forget they’d said it.

I mentioned to a colleague at work that I’d just booked a holiday for December. She asked me where and I said oh one of the Grenadine islands in the Caribbean. We love it there.

She said “God you sound like such a snobby posh twit”.

I have been to the Caribbean…..a very long time ago, so I would probably think “I don’t blame them”. I can’t afford to go now, my dc have never been abroad and I can’t afford to take them but I’m happy for people that can afford it. I have relatives who go abroad a lot, they work hard to pay for it so I’m happy for them.

I wouldn’t think any of those things. It’s not particularly posh to go there, is it? I’ve never been, but those I know who go there have family links and heritage.

Some of my extended family go there regularly & they are wealthy so it does have that association for me. Whereas the rest of my family are holidaying in Wales 😂.
