Whats NEVER on your list?

When you do a food shop, what food(s) would never ever make it to your trolley?

I have never and will never buy bell peppers, just the smell makes me heave and they have no place in any of my dinners. Pineapple too.

Things i automatically pick up without having to think.. olives, spinach and red leicester cheese.

MitskiMoo · 14/05/2024 12:13

I grow all my own herbs, except coriander. It's the devil's spawn and has no place near any dish...or trolley.

Ready meals
Tarragon
Sushi

jlox · 14/05/2024 12:14

Cheese even typing it makes me feel ill but not as much as the vomit inducing McDonald's ad with cheese on the paper 🤮

TinkerTiger · 14/05/2024 12:17

Aubergine and courgette, I don't eat them.

Same to Marmite, I've never tried it and never plan to.

Lamb, can't bear it.

Pork chops. Don't mind pork, just don't care for pork chops specifically.

Sardines 🤢

Illpickthatup · 14/05/2024 12:19

Meat
Microwave meals
That boxed cheesy pasta stuff
Tinned peas
Jar curry sauce

PTSDBarbiegirl · 14/05/2024 12:19

Tinned 'complete meal' all day breakfast, beef stroganoff etc. Can't believe it's still sold eek!
I have no place for apples, pomegranate, bags of sugar or crisps, turnip, celeriac, pork, cod or anything breaded.

jlox · 14/05/2024 12:19

Not loving the coriander or cheese slander 😱😱 always in my fridge!

DeanElderberry · 14/05/2024 12:20

Coriander, the leaves not the seeds, the seeds are fine. I've become (maybe always was) allergic to wheat, so lots of lovely things are now ruled out. I don't really like oily fish, so mackerel etc are off the list unless smoked, and I have never been even slightly tempted by tripe.

I have also quite unaccountably gone off asparagus, always a treat until now. I've just thrown out half a bunch because I couldn't face eating it. Very odd, and I hope I get over it.
