Are any parties proposing to look into this two tier pricing that supermarkets do?

I know that it wouldn't be as much of a concern but for the wider issue of the tories bankrupting the country, but it still sucks ass.

Ambiguity wrt invitation to treat including how tills display pricing at different points in transaction.

🤣🤣No ambiguity though is there.

The CMA is already looking into this. There is plenty of ambiguity, I don't think they'd waste their time with it if there wasn't. In fact I think they'd made recommendations to the government to legislate, but we'll have to wait until after the GE now.

It's easy enough to say "oh just get the card" but if I usually shop in Sainsburys why would I want to bother with a Tesco card for the one time I need to get something in there?

And no, I don't want to clog up my phone with apps I only use once every 3 years either.

The ultimate objective for the supermarkets is to find out which brands and products you are prepared to pay a premium for rather than substitute something else- and charge you that premium.

No recommendations yet. Updating due next month with conclusion by the end of the year.
