"Ordinary" degrees aren't classified like a first or a 2:1. Those are only for Honours degrees.

@ToxicChristmas there are no degree classifications for ordinary degrees. She's trying to remember her marks for coursework and the like. I certainly can't remember mind and my (Honours) law degree was much more recent than hers! (I'm also Scottish)

I think she believes what she is saying though. She's not lying as such because she truly believes it. She has Grandiose delusions. She faltered when he asked about her childhood and I imagine something traumatic happened there.
