Is there anything you did with your babies that isn't OK now and you feel sad today's parents will miss out on?

For me it's the family bed. We coslept all the time when they were little, then on and off until they were about 8 or 9. No sleep deprivation for anyone, easy to deal with nightmares or night waking. And such security and comfort for everyone. I know it wouldnmt work for every family, but I'm sad that it's obviously not OK to even try now..

I think the family bed wasn't just about sleeping for me. For various reasons, both work and family related, my dp was away a lot when our babies were small. Sharing a bed meant that he was able to be close with them and cuddle them which made him very happy.

My DC are 10 and 6.
I sleep with either of them if they ask me too.
DC6 asks me regularly to sleep with her and I pretty much aways say yes. We didn’t bond for 20 months when she was born and isn’t going to be little for long so I absolutely will co sleep when required
